The Citadel and ruins in Hue is massive. I had no idea it was that big, and if only it could be restored... And sông Hương is perfect for swimming in the intense heat. Someone should definitely set up water sports facilities for tourists

I visited it last year. it is big indeed but most are destroyed.

I like it to be restored but because it is a UNESCO heritage site, the rules governing restoration is very strict.

if you ever go there, go to the Khai Dinh tomb. That is the best site, the architecture is impressive there. Kiến trúc những nơi khác ở Huế thua xa. Trong nội thành toàn là cỏ mọc xung quanh tường cũ, không đẹp. Nhìn toàn cảnh mới thấy tức lịch sử, chỉ biết phá hoại. Hi vọng là không bao giờ lặp lại.

I guess no one know Hue better than me in AF. I was born and lived there for 2 years. My parents are both "nguoi` Hue", and I visited it every summer. "Gai' Hue' dep. lam' may' anh oi" hahaha
