Times change, apparently some of the top Japanese cabinet members wants Japan to relive her glorious militarist days.

The only reason that Japan isn't acquiring nuclear arms is because of PR, not for "good-will". Most of their citizens don't want their land to equip itself with nuclear arms. But, believe me, Japan has more than ample ability to do so. They have enough plutonium to create several dozens of megaton warheads, not to mention that they can domestically produce delivery vehicles, maybe ICBMs but definitely IRBMs, since JAXA shot off a domestically produced rocket for delivery a satellite into orbit not even a few months ago. If the older generations die out and the younger generations with their heads swollen from all the nationalistic propaganda messages take over the country, we might be seeing a nuclear Japan not far off in the future.

Correct. However this wont happen over night unfortunately. Japan has technology and enough nuclear fuel to create one even as we speak. Not to mention justification. However there are steps that must be taken so the country can work up to nuclear deterrant.

Hey if its okay for N.Korea and Iran Japan should be allowed also. Japan atleast doesn't make threats everytime they want their own way. Nor does Japan make a habit of supplying terrorists with any weapon they can afford.

i don't see why not but they'd just be wasting money and closing off some percentage of china's market.
