"Fund established for cultural diversity support in Vietnam

The Vietnamese government and the Danish Embassy in Vietnam have jointly launched a fund for regional and ethnic culture to give support to selected areas to develop cultural diversity.

In the immediate future, six provinces with strong ethnic minorities and cultural identities will be provided with a total capital of US$350,000 USD in the 2006-2010 period.

The beneficiary provinces include northern Ha Giang, Yen Bai and Lai Chau, central Quang Tri and Quang Binh and southern Soc Trang."

Which Khmers? The Khmers in Vietnam are Vietnamese citizens and as such, they do deserve it. Life is too short to hate people - Time flies, and you'll be dead and gone before you know it.

I don't know. I am always hesitating, balancing the cost of the trip against donating the money outright to an NGO that helps Vietnamese icon_wink.gif
