you've seen their show? where are you from? I thought some of the clips on their site is kewl. i just ordered their dvd. I hope this ain't some lame paris by night wanna be thingy.

havent watched the show.. but from the site, it looks not good, their skills in talking and stuff, weird, its like that one fillipino show on channel 18, here in LA.

2 to 1 odds that any show that stars Vietnamese Americans and is about Vietnamese Americans in the west won't last 1 season.

but for the show... i think they should have it in vietnamese... like speak in vietnamese, than older people will understand more, and that might make it more interesting, but its in english.

I think it would be a bad idea to have it in Vietnamese. I think the purpose of the show is to bring the younger Vietnamese Generation closer to their roots and to instill a sense of pride for who they are and what they can do. By keeping it in English, we are able to reach out to those who might be turned off by the Vietnamese language. Also, making the show in Vietnamese would guarantee that other people (koreans, chinese, whites, and black) who may be interested in our culture would not be able to watch it. Judging from their clips, my girlfriend, who is white, says she thinks non asians who channel surf and who have any remote curiosity of any kind to the asian american community would definitely check it out.

The last thing I think we need is a FOB show. Otherwise, we'll never make it into the mainstream. Go VAX!

okay, so I went down to the audition on Tuesday, and the place was friggin crowded. I guess i should have made an appoinment. The guy there said they received over 200 applicants for the week.

damn...and i thought all viet kids wanted to do was become doctors and lawyers.
