lol... why is this thread so short compared to the Vietnamese female one? laugh.gif

Let's see... a pro for Vietnamese men is that they tend to feel insulted if the girl pays so most of the time they won't let the girl pay... I think that's so đàn ông (manly!). I had a Vietnamese girl friend who never use to date Vietnamese guys.. just Chinese or Cauasian. Then when she had a Vietnamese boyfriend for the first time, she kept bragging to me that he paid for everything.. as if I didn't already know that. I told her.. "Yeah, Vietnamese guys are like that"... and she's like "...oh" It was kinda funny embarassedlaugh.gif

Another pro for Vietnamese men is that they're good fathers... at least my dad is. His life evolves around his wife and children. I love him! biggthumpup.gif

hmmmm... a con? The cute guys are soo shy! They just smile at me from afar but they don't come up to me... goodness.. I'm not gonna bite you! embarassedlaugh.gif

For me this apply Viet guys because some Viet parents only want them to focus in school works and never really get exposed to a whole lot of girls.

Pro:

Offer to pay for the lady on a date

Con:

Tend to drink too much with his buddies (nha^.u) and smoke around the wife and children.
Moderate drinking is fine.

Haha My dad stopped smoking for 10 years when my little sister was born, but then he went to Vietnam and pick it back up because of his brothers.

When I went back to Vietnam a few months ago, I had a good time hanging out with Vietnamese people; and one thing that disrupts the pleasantry was the smell of alcohol and cigarette. We need to have self control and know when to stop. Too much alcohol and smoking is bad for the health.

generalizations are bad, but meh..

Pros: know how to treat their girls :P

Cons: sometimes too nationalistic and too cheesy, it's embarrassing

yeah, the paying stuff is a typical vietnamese male habit. i alway paid for girls when we were hanging out, i never let them paid, not even once biggrin.gif
my dad is a great father, i dont know about the rest
Because of the vietnamese culture, guys dont just come up to girl to say hi out of the blue, because girls think that they were being disrespectful, so the result never good biggrin.gif. So VN guys a somewhat shy, they have to see you for atleast one or two time before they start talking
Smoking and drinking is a big problem in VN though, guys have to work hard during the day, and smoking relaxed them a little, the headach seem to go away when they smoke.
If you a business man in vn, you have to know how to drink, everything will be done on the "ba`n nha^u".
However, there are wave of tennagers that try to smoke and drink to prove that they're manly and growth up alredy, that's just plain stupid

I used to know some US soldiers who complained that they didn't smoke and drink until they got into the service.
