Wow, this is really realy crazy. The guy who started this thread must be a KR agent. The invasion of Cambodia in 1978 was fully justified because the KR was making incursions into Vietnam and massacring entire Vietnamese villages. Vietnam drove over 10,000 Chinese advisers from Cambodia. These advisors ran for their lives to Thailand. World public opinion basically gives Vietnam credit for ending the self-genocide that victimized ethnnic Vietnamese living in Cambodians too.

The North Vietnamese were responsible for some mass destructions in Cambodia affecting Cambodian lives as well. They set up the "ho chi minh" trail in Eastern Cambodia to attack S. Vietnam and resulted in American bombings in Eastern Cambodia which took many lives and forced hundreds of thousands to fled to the capital. There are more, but i don't have time right now.

^ Pretty sure they had permission from the KR to run the trail. Vietnam, Cambodia & China were aligned at the time. But more important is that it was America that dropped the bombs. But I do take your point that it was terrible for Cambodia. Besides, Loas was bombed much worse than Cambodia.

^I read a recent article that stated Cambodia was bombed worse than what was thought. The degree of destruction was re-assessed when Bill Clinton made a visit earlier this year. I'll post it when I can find it.

Hun Sen may have been apart of the Khmer Rouge prior to the invasion, however; Hun Sen was also the one who urged Vietnam to intervene (Which we did and possibly saved the Khmer people from the face of the earth). I also don't think that he was personally responsible for the Genocide or that he was personally responsible for murder. Like in Nazi Germany and Austria, a lot of well known people (ie. Karajan, Arnold Schwarzenegger's father) joined the Nazi party only to avoid persecution or to advance their careers. And even Lincoln, who advocated the supposed end of slavery in the US, had slaves himself. So I don't really think that it's fair that people are advertising Hun Sen as a murder.
