How long would it take for a Vietnamese family to earn enough to be able to buy a brand new Toyota (which costs about $60,000 USD) instead of using the motorbikes?

Vietnam probably has a more even income distribution than the Philipines. As for the quality of secondary education in Vietnam, there are those who suffer and there are those who suffer and scream bloody murder about its quality. The ones who are not suffering are attending foreign secondary schools.

I believe in the progress of the two countries. The Philippines are doing great right now, so is Vietnam. But the Philippines shouldnt compare themselves with Vietnam--as it already is ahead of Vietnam. The Philippines should emulate other progressed nation states in the likes of Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore etc.

Vietnam has a long way to go, I hope their economy stays hot.
