Just watched Miss Universe 2004 and Miss Viet Nam was in it. There were about 80 countries and only 15 were picked to advance to the second round, the only Asian country represented was India. Miss USA was runner up and Miss Australia won. The last 5 girls had to answer a question - their answers were nothing special, one being just stupid.

Without further ado,

Miss Viet Nam

She's pretty, but I think there was another Miss Viet Nam in a different pageant that was prettier. I'm not getting the chance to see her pictures and interview since the site is being bogged down like crazy..so you'll guys will have a better chance tomorrow. But yay for Miss Viet Nam.

Stupid judges picked mostly spanish speaking countries. Freaking pisses me off.

But anyway, China will be hosting Miss World, Miss International and Miss Asia- Pacific this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Asians will surely make it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A place especially the country where the pageant takes place had a lot of influence over the result.

It seems like Miss India is the only miss "asian" that can get into the top 10 every year. I honestly can not remember when was the last time I see a Miss China, Korea, Vietnam or other east asian countries made it to the top 10.

China first time to participate in the pageant was in 2002!
China was second runner-up,
Korea last time to enter the Miss Universe finalist was in 1988.
Korea last won the best in National costume was in 2001.

Vietnam had sent its first delegate this year!


Thailand Last entered won the pageant in 1988 !

The Philippines is the last Southeast Asian delegate to make it in the semi-finalist in 1999.

Japan won fourth runner-up last year!
India did not make the semi-finalist last year!

She might look average but she is tall and that is the most important thing in beauty pageant
