Off course we're all proud.

I am not proud and I am not ashamed. I am Vietnamese, and that's the beginning and end of it. We are pretty open and friendly, but messing with us is definitely not a good idea.

A defensive mentality seem to be typical for us VietNamese

We are Vietnamese and for some reason with all of us with a individual personality we will all connect. We meet a Viet in class, we'll connect. Even if that person is the total opposite. It doesn't matter if your smart, stupid, goofy, serious, etc... All Viets connect. We flow the same blood, our country has spared the same blood, and we all share the golden skin, the black hair, the below 6' foot height. Be proud of your ethnic Viet blood, and be proud of your country, your family, and yourself.

People who control the past controls the future and people who control the present controls the past. Right now all you have to focus on is your present. Do things that make you happy and make you a good individual. Trying to be remembered after you die will restict you from the more important things in your life. Being remembered as a legend is great, but being rememebered as a human is greater.

Luu Huu Phuoc is not a communist but a nationalist. Not everyone in the Viet Minh is communist you know. Viet Minh is a coalition of party including the communist that wanted to defeat the Japanese and French.
