Old people might remember some French, but most can't actually speak it.

That's what I was thinking but in the French language courses that I have taken Vietnam is always listed as a francophone country...

my daddy knos french biggrin.gif ; but now we're not force 2 learn french anymore, so not many ppl speak it. *shrug*

LOL, English is a requirement in Vietnamese schools, but France is an elective. Chinese, Japanese and recently Koreana re more popular as third language choices for Vietnamese college students.
