U.S. marine arrested for assault in Okinawa

In Okinawa on September 14, police arrested a U.S. marine stationed in Camp Kinzer in Urasoe City for assaulting a taxi driver.

Police say that the marine beat the taxi driver in the face after he was angered by the driver. The driver told the police that he got the marine out of his taxicab because the man spat in the car. (end)

"I didnt like the driver telling me not to spit in the car so I tried to kill him!"-Ridiculous american.

Talk about arrogance. icon_rolleyes.gif

I have the freedom to ask, this is not your

Simple, because American media does not want to bother releasing how american soldiers treating okiniwans like a iraqi civilians. The country won't even release a news about ashamed work done by US marine.

It's not important ppl get assaulted everyday no one cares .Even if a japanese person were to assault an american or anyone else it still wouldnt be a big deal, most news is local and is mainly about ppl in that area.I dont know why your getting upset, I dont feel that it was called for but theres no reason to get upset over it.

Stories on American assault of Japanese people are on major American news sites as well. You just didn't search very well.

http://www.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/asiapcf/east...rape/index.html

- this article is very bias. They make Japanese sound bad but the facts in it are true. Japanese base in Okinawa is crucial, HA! Americans won't follow Japanese laws and they don't hand over their criminals to Japanese judicial system, that's a crime in itself. US news

http://www.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/asiapcf/east...case/index.html

- Americans refuse to admit the crimes they have committed. Their top official in Okinawa supports the actions of their men. The article and Bush still calls these crimes "incidents." US news

http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9704/03/okinawa/index.html

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/3102414.stm

- diplomatic immunity protects criminals. Americans can refuse to hand over criminals to Japanese judicial system. This is British news.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/2545935.stm

- Koreans protest American troops there as well. There are more bases in Korea than in Japan. poor Koreans.

There are millions more, but I don't feel like copying and pasting them all. There are too many. Couldn't find any, what a freakin' lie. I only needed to put Okinawa in the search box to find these articles.
