One Pillar pagoda (built in 11th century, destroyed by France in 20th century and rebuilt later)
This is the symbol of Hanoi, but i think that it is ugly, especially the stair

French combined with traditional elements (built in the French quarter). France destroyed the original traditional garden and replace it with this. I think it looks alright.

I find it really interesting how borrowed Chinese culture is retranslated in another country due to a new history, climate, and available materials.
