Vietnam Airlines concludes contract to buy three A321 aircrafts

VNECONOMY updated: 27/05/2004

Vietnam Airlines has concluded a US$150 million credit contract with the ABN Amro Bank NV and the Bank of Natexis Banque Populaires to cover its purchase of three A321 aircrafts.

The contract was signed in London on May 25 by Nguyen Xuan Hien, general director of Vietnam Airlines, Tim Eggar, President of the ABN Amro Bank and M Comick, representative of the Natexis Banque Populaires.

The signing was witnessed by Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan, who is accompanying President Tran Duc Luong on a visit to the UK.

The purchase of three A321s will help Vietnam Airlines increase the capacity of its fleet to meet the growing demand of air services in the country now as well as in the future.

===================================================

Vietnam Airlines is the fastest growing airline in the region and among the fast growing airlines in the world. The speed of growth is a wonder and the quality improvement is amazing. I flew with Vietnam Airlines 3 months ago and let me tell you the stewardesses were sooooooo pretty in Ao' dai`. beerchug.gif

I like Boeing more.

I like Boeing 747 series but I've gotta admit Airbuses are quieter and more comfortable than Boeing.

As a matter of fact, Airbus has surpassed Boeing last year and this year in term of aircraft production and new orders. Go Airbus.
blank book
Well, commercially Airbus might be a better company, but I don't care much for commercial airliners, its the military department of Boeing that has my interest.
Nam Quoc Son Ha
Talking about defence companies, I'd have to go with Raytheon and LockHeed Martin.
blank book
What does Raytheon have aside from missiles?

Juvies!!! U should stop being a tool for the commie's broken propaganda-machine.

Points:

1. Who financed the Airbus deals? A France group? Done! No comments!

2. Why did VN Air buy Airbus? VN cannot borrow from American. Because Airbus is technologically better? Maybe. Becasue Airbus is cheaper? No. Because that the only place they can buy from? YES. Think dude! THINK!

3. Who fly for VN Air? Only drunk French pilots fly cheap!

4. VN girls in Áo Dài are beautiful anywhere, anytime. Look around you during Tết celebrations if you are in US, Canada, Ausie, Paris, Berlin or even Saigon Hà Nội. Ahhhh, the hostesses of VN Air are beautiful as well, but most of them are so stucked up and ignorant that it hurts from laughing at them. Just b'cuz they are relatives of officials (remember the rampant corruptions!?) they gain employments in a "once prestigious" airlines. They don't make an airline!

I don't remember the commies ever flew anywhere before they took over in '75. I remember VN Airlines' HQ was in Saigon, yes?. They used to dig tunnels, they carved trails, they used bikes, they carried their swinging baskets.

So stop saying things that sound like grinding klunks of a broken machine!!!! It's over!!!

I love VN, I love my people, but I desite the freaking commies that ruined it for years.

What does Raytheon have aside from missiles?

Raytheon produces military and commercial electronic systems and business and special mission aircraft. The company's 2001 revenues came from electronic systems (46%); command, control, communication and information systems (21%); aircraft (14%); technical services (11%); aircraft integration systems (6%); commercial electronics (2%).[

That Minh Tuyet picture is surely hot VPWW.

Airbus is doing good @ the moment however I believe their A-380 is too much, they have over-existimated the market for large commercial jets. Boeing is taking the smarter route (imo) with their go ahead of the very efficient 7E7.
I would rather have seen VN Airlines stay within the limits of 1-2 aircraft type, similar to that of SouthWest & JetBlue.
Cac Co
Yes, U'll be nominated into the seat, Secrretary of Air Transportation of VN, so U can steer them into the right plane, right choice.

In Saigon, Hanoi, Hue ... where Áo Dài is the norm of daily garment, it tends to loose its pragmatic, exotic attraction! Familiarity breeds contempt, yes? That why I said even when one sees the Áo Dài in those places, one still admires its beauty. Which is to say there is love and admiration for that dress anywhere on earth.

What's the name of the book? If I have a chance to visit Houston Texas, I'll sure keep my eyes open. Houston is a closest place around where I live to consider to have a large population of Vietnamese. I heard it is so much that one of my friend call a wrong number and it happened to be a Vietnamese family. LOL...

Yes, I know the Cham museum. It is about a few minutes from where I used to live or my family live. I've never visited that museum. My sisters all warned me about the sacred place.

LOL. So true, my aunts told me about that, too. She said don't go there, because it's sacred to the Cham people. But I thought it's just a museum, what harm can it be?

The name of the book is Quảng Đà.
