Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem has praised the important role played by two of the largest mass organisations of Vietnam and Cambodia in fostering friendship and traditional ties between the two people.
Deputy PM Khiem made the remarks at a formal reception given for Min Khin, the Permanent Vice President and Secretary General of the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of the Cambodian Motherland (NCSF), in Hanoi on August 2.
The Deputy PM expressed hope that the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and the NCSF will continue to play a role in developing the long-standing solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
Visiting NCSF leader Min Khin said that the Cambodian side was actively promoting the establishment of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association in the provinces bordering Vietnam and co-operating with Vietnam in organising exchanges between the two countries' people at all levels. (VNA)
