no im a crew chief i fix airplanes. you need a 4 yr degree to be a pilot.

o cause i wanted to be a pilot and u know the only way to get your hands on one of those fighter jet is to be in the military(most likely to be in the US military if u want a good one).

go for it. if life is boring join the military. its a great new world, new life, youll see tons of new places, do things you never imagined doing as a kid, get respect from everyone, and live to know that you did something in your life that sets you apart. plus you get lots of benefits for being a veteran in a time of war.

If you guys want to put your lifes at risk, why not work as a mercenary for private security firms like BlackWater? You'll get paid like kazillion times more than a typical American foot soldier while being exposed to the same risk level. It's no wonder why the U.S military is b!tching about their guys leaving the military to go work for a private firm

they hire veterans usually, for contract security jobs esp. in Afghanistan and Iraq. in 2004 those guys who got shot up in the four runner, one was greenie, other was a seal and two others rangers, where they're bodies were dragged and hanged over Fallujah's bridge.

Yes you always get training. Theres a ton of jobs in the military to choose from and you are trained very well. Its good because your training in the military transitions to civilian world easily. Im an aircraft mechanic and I can get my A&P license without going to school, whereas civilians would have to do 2 years to get it. Yes there is a contract, usually 4-6 years. Benefits...free medical dental, 30 day paid vacation, 40,000 gibill to go to school when you get out, veterans association benefits, steady paychecks. And yes you have to get a strict haircut, so sorry no dragonball z spikes.

I'm studying in department of aeronautical engineering in University of technology. I used to join in the army of Vietnam for a month. To be honest, I had to worke very hard during that time but in return, I learned the useful things from participating in the military such as strict disciplines, solidarity .


I've heard of joining in the army of US, you would get a lot of benifits, and a big salary. That's why it is said that most of youth of US paticipate in the military. After that, they will take the amount of money to study in University

Not School, It's Vietnam Airline , exactly A75 plane maintenance

Not too sure about the thing with "connections" but the VietNam People's Air Force actually do very well in terms of training, despite the limited resources, the plane ain't so great but if you truly love your country it shouldn't matter how great the planes are Anyway, VPAF pilots now train with the Indian air force.

Well Im finishing up my biology requirements for my biology major by the end of 2007 spring semester. My history requirements for my double major in history have to be fulfilled--so far Ive taken 36 credits worth of History classes (I need 40 minimum to finish my double major)--which have included Chinese, South Asian, South East Asian- Colonial History. I want to take some classes on Indochinese history--what better place than Vietnam.

Besides--my bachelor's thesis for history will be on Siamese Nationalism and the Effects of European Colonialism in South East Asia in Siamese Nationalism from the late 19th century to the post world war II epoch. Vietnam would provide great sources--as well as entertain my interests in indochinese history.

Ive always wanted to visit Vietnam again.

I know enough from reading Chinese history--as well as instances of Vietnamese clashes with Siam in Thai History Books--but not too much on Vietnamese History Proper. Vietnam for me is a distant nation--and I long to understand it--specially coerce myself in its culture and history. Of which, may I add, I have great respect for its seemingly brilliant military past.

Ive already talked to my college advisor on a study course in Vietnam--the thing is that I have to choose international colleges in Vietnam. I just need help in identifying good colleges in vietnam with an international program that will court Georgetown University's attention.

Ive had a friend, who was a Thai international student here in college--and she studied in Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry. She was an Enviromental Science Major. Talking about her experiences in VN was very intriguing--and seems to me that she enjoyed it very much. Its a pity she graduated this year. I forgot to ask her about some social questions over there.

If you really want to study in Vietnamese University for its history, I will advise you to enroll In University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Hà Nội or HCMC). But you should know that none of vietnamese Universities are recognized for international program, no country in the world accepts the qualifications of vietnamese universities

Ở VN học toàn là lý thuyết không, không mấy khi có cơ hội thực hành cả. Nếu chỉ học toàn về lý thuyết không thì biết bao giờ VN mới tự sản xuất máy bay hoặc các thứ khác được. Coi người Nhật kìa, họ học tập bằng cách ngồi tháo gở một bộ máy ra để tìm tòi nghiên cứu rồi từ đó băt chước mà làm theo.

Tớ học được 3 năm, năm nay bước sang năm 4, học đa số lý thuyết, Học Toán Kỹ sư rất nặng, phải nói là cực nặng về Toán, những gì về dynamics, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, structures, solids, fluids, statics ,.. mình có được học. Nhưng lý thuyết và lý thuyết suông

Ôi ! sau đó bị Ông thầy của tôi ( PGS.TS Nguyễn Thiện Tống, tốt nghiệp TS tại Úc, 2 năm nghiên cứu tại ĐH Harvard ) lật tẩy ra, với những bằng chứng ko thể chối cãi ...

Học lý thuyết mà không thực hành thì cũng hơi chán. Nhưng cũng có cái tốt, vững về lý thuyết thì sau này thực hành mới biết đường mà lần chớ.

Sinh viên AE bên Mỹ năm thứ 1-3 cũng học lý thuyết là chính mà thôi, cũng những dynamics, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, structures, solids, fluids, statics, etc. như vậỵ Thường đến năm cuối khi làm senior project thì mới có nhiều thực hành, nhưng cũng không phải được thực hành đồ thiệt đâu (mô hình phòng thí nghiệm và computer simulation là chính). Những sinh viên (giỏi) muốn có nhiều kinh nghiệm thực hành thường phải xin làm research thêm cho mấy ông thầy, hoặc đi làm co-op hay internship. Số này không nhiều lắm.

ill think about law school bro. but the reason im takin political science is bcuz i wanna be a teacher or a professor. ill complete my bachelor, my masters and finish my PHD. politics may be a good idea, but its too wild to imagine. i might prbbly end up a dictator if i win an election. i am already a strict disciplinarian and a dictator in the stead of my parents whenever theyre not home. picture a general santoloco.

hu hu, đa số SV ra trường đều làm trái nghề, mấy anh chị năm trước thì còn có Pacific Airline, Cathay Airline nó nhận. còn bây giờ chẳng ma nào nhận, vì chẳng có kỹ năng nào hết, toàn là phải đào tạo lại mới sử dụng được ... Tớ cũng ko biết học cái này để làm gì .

Sao ở đây cũng có nhiều người hiểu biết và quan tâm về ngành này thế như DAI_VIET, canhong và landsknechts ... Phải chăng các bạn cũng đang theo học ngành này ở Mỹ ( right ? ) . Đúng như Canhong nói, đến năm cuối thì thực hành khá nhiều, báo cáo làm mệt luôn (nghe nguoi ta nói) .

P.S : Tớ đang mong chờ có 1 suất bổng bổng Du học qua Mỹ, nhưng nghe có vẻ xa với quá . Hôm trước có ĐH MIT (Mỹ) và ĐH NUS (Singapore) đến lớp tớ cho học bổng du học, cả lớp mừng quá .. Nhưng khi nghe họ diễn thuyết bằng Tiếng Anh, thì cả lớp cứ đờ cái người ra, vì đết hiểu cái gì hết , họ hỏi mà cứ "ờ ờ ờ " (trong đó có tôi) , họ nhận thấy khả năng Tiếng Anh của SV yếu quá, nên họ ko cho nữa . Lúc đó tôi chỉ muốn đào cái lỗ chui xuống đất, xấu hổ quá

What is the point of that anyway? VietNam should go beyond the VAM series and the VNS-41 and built basic trainers for the air force.
