Eight Vietnamese children won prizes at the 31st Lidice Rose international painting contest, in the Czech Republic.
Lam Dieu Linh, 8, was awarded a medal, and seven others received certificates of merit at a ceremony held in Hanoi on May 20 by the Czech Embassy.
Lidice Rose is held annually in the Czech Republic for children at the age of 4-16, and is dedicated to the memory of the children of Lidice Village murdered during World War II.
The contest this year drew entries from children in over 60 countries. Vietnamese children have entered the contest many times, often collecting prizes.
