The VFF support Australia's entry into the ASEAN region while the Thais are unhappy, off course, the chance of VietNam winning the ASEAN Cup will be even slimmer but the standard will rise. I think in November VietNam senior and U-23 teams will train in Japan, on the way back the U-23 will play in Agribank Cup while the senior will compete in the Hanoi Cup against foreign teams.

Those are preparations for the Tiger Cup (renamed ASEAN Cup), Asian Games and Asian Cup 2007 biggthumpup.gif

VietNam aim to make the WC in 2014.

The Thai will be second best in the SEA region, so thats why theyre unhappy!.
Australia will help boost VN's and other Asian nations soccer skills and standards. I welcome their entry!

^me too and hey who know maybe some viets will go to the A-league.

That sucks for you mate laugh.gif

My guest- despite the teams competing in the Asian Cup will be stronger than VietNam in terms of skill and technical ability, VietNam is one of the host nations and the home team can perform miracles on home soil. I believe VietNam can perform well if coach Alfred Riedl can shape the team good enough for it. Personally, I expect Phan Thanh Binh, Le Cong Vinh, Thach Bao Khanh and Phan Van Tai Em to be the scorers for VietNam.

i like Phan Van Tai Em, if no body would sell out the team this year then i bet we can do pretty well.

Very true, I expect VietNam to be of the top teams in Asia within ten years biggthumpup.gif

Oh, in 1967 the Aussies won their first international trophy in Saigon competing in the VNCH Independence Cup. When VietNam play Australia there will be historical significance.

Yes Tai Em is awesome.

If players sell out we still have a pool of 'unnotice' talents in the V-League. Don't worry.

I forgave VAN QUYEN, but not Quoc Vuong.
I know that Van Quyen came from a very poor family and poverty led him to do foolish thing. I forgave him!
He has changed a lot since his release.
About QUOC VUONG............i dont considered him to be a Viet. thumbsdown.gif

That's right biggthumpup.gif

For VietNam losing in SEA Games is not that important, its a small insignificant competition and the VFF can aim for better results at higher levels. ASEAN Cup and Asian Cup should be the objective.
Huynh
^true, i bet now the V-league is gona be more competitive.
the other bad thing is that Vietnam doesnt let it players play outside the country, i dont know y but this is stupid.
Le Cong Vinh could have gone to Brazil and play in some 2nd league team with our old Brazil coach(the last one b4 Reid).

I think its stupid too, Le Cong Vinh's quality means that he could make it at least to the EPL 2nd Division. Playing abroad with other foreign players will only improve his technical ability to perform for VietNam, btw, check out the pictures I've added on Wikipedia:

Some of ours players are good enough for the Australian league or the Italian Series B/C. This really pisses me off................

^Hopefully the VFF will change their policy.
