Viet government has been more open to this topic more than ever. This is mainly because of lack of sex education. that's basically it.

i guess it's good that Vietnamese are starting to open more about this issue. we cant always be on the conservative side about this issue. it's getting worse every year. and the increase in abortions/HIV/AIDS. that's really sad. Viet teens need to stop being so horny.

then we will have as much slut bags as america

positives:
easier lays in teen years

negatives:
higher chances of ending up with a reformed slut for a wife

Too bad the government doesn't actually strictly enforce the 2 child policy.

When I was in Vietnam, I saw a Viet sign saying this...

Vo chong chi nen co 1 hay 2 dua con de co gia dinh hanh phuc.

Or something similar to that.

Sex education doesn't make women sluttier, it decreases risks of contracting and spreading diseases and increases use of birth control methods/decreases the number of abortions and unwanted pregnancies.

And the idea that a guy should be able to get easy sex before marriage but his future wife should be a virgin is a sexist double standard.

If I had daughters, I would want them thoroughly schooled in matters of sex, reproduction and venereal diseases. I also want them thorughly trained in how to say "No" and "No way". Sex may be beautiful, but getting pregnant and getting stuck with a venereal disease for life is not. The most effective protection is awareness and knowledge.

Most teenagers will get the answer to these questions wrong:
(1) can a girl get pregnant from just one vaginal sex encounter? (Answer is yes)
(2) can a person be have more than one venereal disease at the same time? (Answer is yes)
(3) is oral sex safe sex? (Answer is no - people get venereal disease anyway, because the bugs adapt and they live in the throat as successfully as in the vagina)
(4) can a girl get pregnant, if she allows anal sex only? (Answer is yes: the sperm can still leak into the vagina)

The last thing I would want is my daughters being educated about sex by their boyfriends.

What I see is HIV/AIDS initially spreading like wildfire in Vietnam due to the lack of sex education in Vietnam. Sex is a public health issue, and if people are not educated in matters of public health, they get hurt. Since public health is the context I operate in, your tender moral sensibilities are irrelevant and at worst, constitute an obstacle to getting things done that needs to be removed by whatever means necessary.
