We use the term Pop, not Soda. or was it the other way around?
Jasel

- Rush st. is a party street in downtown. also the homeless people there are notoriously aggressive.
- learn all about the different train lines. (learn them because i don't know enough about them.. embarassedlaugh.gif )

The rail system is easy to remember, just need to know where you get the free transfers, but when your a college student with a U Pass it doesn't matter.

I never met any aggressive homeless people just some foul mouthed ones.

There is nothing special about the pink line, it just connects the green and blue line, and it's pink!
FantasyClover

i haven't met that many aggressive ones either. but on some incidents in chicago, there were people who would pursue after you even if you gave them some money. i was in lincoln park and this guy asked for money for a bus ride home. i gave 2 bucks. and he saw more money in my wallet so he said "i haven't eaten today... a little bit more?" i gave 2 more singles and then i had to cross the street cuz the walk light came on. while i was crossing he just followed me..

The samething happened to my teacher at popeyes.
Jasel
I'd recommend NOT giving people money and especially don't let them see where you keep it. Alot of these people will ask you for money to figure out where you keep your wallet and will either tell a "partner" where your money is located so they can rob you or they'll rob you later themselves. And there's always the off-chance someone will be watching for people to find out where they keep their money. If you want to donate to homeless shelters or charities that's fine. But giving money to people on the street can just cause problems.

yeah man. i been to the south side in hyde park peeps there are pretty cool. but yeah, girls shouldn't be outdoors too often anyways esp. at night.

kids in south side were pretty nice i remember. one time i was at a subway eating, then williie hung came on singing on the tv. and then two little african american kids said to me " you know they're laughing AT him right?" I thought it was so cute they said that... Im glad the white sox won.

man, not only is it Chicago smart , but street smart worldwide.
If my little brother does that? I would sack him!
Never give money to panhandlers..You only encourage the habit and attract more. esp'ly giving an easy $4 like that.....try giving them a bag of chips or some food and see if they follow thru and take it if they are that hungry! 100% of times, they won't take it! Done that as proofs!

Ladies, Beware of early hours or late nights travels on the trains! There are pervs who masturbate right in front of ya....take a seat closest to the doors and that communicator button! (the first train caboose)

When you walk up the stairs at the free transfers' tunnels, or any stairs, with crowds...beware of pickpocketers, esp'ly when you have backpacks....the closer they walk, the more they tried to go for that zipper on the bags....

Oh, If you ever shop Uptown in Argyle's area, beware of cars getting towed in a certain mall complex. Many have fallen victims to these scams...and the store owners don't stand by the customers, you are on your own with your G.damn receipt in a headlock with those towers!

I only have a pocket knife in one of the boots, a razor up some sleeves, maze spray in some pockets, cellphones with backup batteries handy, rearview mirrors attached to my peripheral visions, a bullet-proof vest under my coat! Yeah, not much to be alarming about!...except, maybe the bullet-proof helmet on my head!.. laugh.gif

Haha, I see one by the train station everyday. My friend said he gave him a sandwich and he gave him a hobo's attitude about it.
