If you think that they are shiet then spend your time composing great song to improve Vietnamese music instead of whining and waiting for someone to do the work for you.

In every generation, there are changes in the kind of music. Us youngstas are the ones composing our own styles. Not all vietnamese music should be folk music, or what you would consider good in what it used to be.
Ey, if you hate the music, don't whine. Find something else to do. If you despise the music so much then write to the composers and say, why your music suck. If you get sued haha it's all on your fault.
(no hard feelings)

It does sound like a Chinese song

^Yeah it does. Could be because the theme is Shanghai.
I can't say much about modern vietnamese songs. But from my limited experience with vietnamese music, i would say that don't like those new songs which sounds like cheap rip offs coming straight out of the synthesysers. O, and i really like the sound of the traditional vietnamese/chinese instruments.

okay. i have 3 Andy Quach songs.
Giac Mo Mot Tinh Yeu
Wo Ai Ni (Anh Yeu Em)
Chiec La
they all sound Chinese. but i think Chiec La and Giac Mo Mot Tinh Yeu are Vietnamese. the lyrics are very Vietnamese. because i noticed that whenever a Chinese song is translated into Vietnamese, the lyrics dont make any sense.

Dude, are you stupid or ignorant. Can't you see that most of our up-todate music are 100% rip-off of Chinese's music. Vietnamese artist and producer in the U.S.A like to repeat their song selection of the 70's, 80's, and almost none in the 90's, over and over again. Not convince yet, try doing thise; just keep track of any two Paris By Night's series.

I'm not an expert in this category so I can't tell if 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100% is being rip off or not but If you think that Vietnamese music is bad then spend your time trying to improve it, don't just sit behind the computer and whine about
Are you going to spend your time to compose great songs to improve Vietnamese music or are you to wait and shift that responsibility to someone else?
People like you are nothing but whiner. Sit at one place and whine and wait for someone else to do the work for you.

It is a chinese song. I think it is one of JJ lin's song. Actually 80% of the songs in his new KO album are from either ripped off from a chinese or korean artitst. Even his mv looks pretty similar to chinese MV.

Giấc Mơ Một Cuộc Tình is originally in Chinese. Jiang Nan by Lin Jun Jie.
Alot of Vietnamese songs are just translated from the Chinese originals. It's not that big of a deal considering how much Chinese influenced Vietnam's culture is. So chill. Btw, the modern Vietnamese songs are pretty good. You just gotta find them. And Paris By Night is geared towards the more mature or adult audience. If you want something more our generation-ish then try Asia Entertainment or Kim Loi. Do a bit more research before b!tching.

There are many genres of Vietnamese music at home and abroad. Each genres suit certain group age and individual taste. Don't blame your bad music taste and poor choice of genre selection on the whole Vietnamese music industry as a whole.

How much do you really know about the Vietnamese music ?
That is just one genre of foreign inspired songs (like any other country has). "Alot" is either an inaccurate choice of word or a poor assumption. Assumption is the mother of all @#$%^ (you know what).

I think some Viet songs are good, new or old. It all depends on the beats and the artist. I've always enjoyed listening to Tu Quyen and Nini. They have that voice and their music is usually fun.

Although there are some that is pretty much crap though. They're usually the one with zero originality.
