I just met my dormmate today online. Anyways, we are both very excited to attend college. So my question is she suggested a bunk bed which is available on request in the dorm building. I think a bunk bed would save alot of dorm space, but then I'll be on the top one, so it might get inconvinient at times. What do u guys suggest? is a bunkbed a yay or nay?

is that one room for both or is that two different suites? if it's two different suites a bunk wouldn't be bad, but personally me and my roomate got around with two beds.

No! I hated those bunk beds so much during my dorm days. It's a killer to make your bed, and to climb in and out of it everyday. It's just plain uncomfortable. Then, you don't have much privacy. Not that you're going to do anything...lol But you can't talk on your phone all nite right above your roommate, little things like that. It might give you guys some extra space, but it's not worth the drama to come.

^but if we do get a bunk bed, i'll be on top. if we assume i'll be the only person who's gonna get on top of the bunk bed, then i wont have to make my bed :P Of course I will, but it doesn't have to be perfect, no one is going to see it lol I'll see what happens since the bunk bed thing is first come first serve.

We had to make our beds everyday! Well, except for the weekends. I was on the top bunk too, and it got so annoying after awhile.

Eh we lofted our beds over matching desk sets that came with the room.

In my dorm room (meant for two people), we had three people living there. There was a bunk bed and a single bed. I got stuck with the top of the bunk bed (because I arrived last) and it sucked big time.

When I had my friends over, we would have to sit on the crowded floor as oppose to on my bed.

You have to think about sex also, how are you going to do it? Good luck having sex on the top bunk inches away from the ceiling.

^yeah, that's also a big problem. Watching tv on the top bunk is very awkward unless you like looking down. Most of the times, I'll just end up on my roomate's bed squished.

What u can do is get rid of the bunk bed and u two honeys can share that one bed. Just think of all tha room you'll have and the memories of 'spooning' her.

Meh, generally if you're stuck for something to say you can come up with something to do with what shes doing at that moment, depending what it is its not great but its a start.

she's in a completely different department and there's no interaction between mine and hers. so we only see each other sometimes in the hallway and the past coupla times, we just passed each other without saying anything but this time, she said hello cause i guess she wanted to avoid the awkwardness.
