by my parents. The layout was classier than northern illinois u. When we visited the student center, I saw a buncha asians sitting around with their laptops. LOL

There was no doubt that U of I probably has a dorkier breed of students compared to NIU (the ghetto).

I personally know 3 people that went to U of I. One's a girl, she's cool. One a cantonese guy who I've known since grade school, and another is a white guy that's supposed be like the smartest guy of my class.

plus our entire campus is going to be wireless....even the janitors will have laptops on the quad

NIU/SIU/ISU all ghetto schools. Personally I wouldn't go to either of those.

If you think U of I has no party life, you are extremely mistaken. They're smart AND they can party. It's not just limited to one aspect.

it was never intended as an insult. i know the uni cmoment was ment as an insult, but the asian people i've met here are actually pretty smart in comparison to everyone else. they tell me that they just aren't pushed as much as their parents to succeed in academics.

The Asian people are smarter than the white people there. Or whatever probably, but overall compared to other Asians, not so much I'd say.

Wow a swarm of smart Asians. I hardly see those around from where I'm from. All of them are gangster wannabes. I can think of at least 3 or 5 people in my circle that is smarter than me, and I don't even consider myself smart, smart.

Make sure there are hotties there to help u between classes.

Since my school is like 45 minutes away we'll have alot of U o I kids who'll come down frequently. Alot of them think they're the $hit and act like complete assholes. When I go up there it's not much better. Especially when they find out me or my friends go to Eastern. I always found it boring too. Despite all the people and the parties I've been to (maybe like 8 or 9) weren't that great. Not much of a fan of alot of their bars either. Not that the ones by my school are all that great either. I know Eastern's not the greatest place in the world but I'm never going to be much of a UoI fan.

university of illinois @ chicago right? Some asian parents put more emphasis on prestige than others. I know for a fact that in the Taiwanese family circle around here, it's very very very important. They don't understand that in todays world, it's all about experience and basically your work ethic. They also believe that you will do better if you surround yourself with smarter people. That's generally true for most people.

I did the work that needed to be done last semester and I did well. It was not taxing at all. Weight lifted at least 4 days a week.

Had a nightmare last night that I was on my way down to move into my room at Eastern and my mom called to say she had me transferred to U of I. Needless to say the rest of the dream was pretty unpleasant. I think it was because I was drunk.

It'll been funny if your dream was stuck in limbo, meaning after you "wake up" from that dream you wake up in a UIUC dorm.

I'd probably piss on myself if that happened
