Im darkskinned and i was just wondering...

i'm darkskinned, and this houston sun isn't helping matters...but even when i was in boston, i was still dark...my older brother though, he is pretty white...yet another reason to cry.

I am light in the winter and dark in the summer

Anyways , theres nosuch thing as darskinned or white skinned Vietnamese , it depends on where u live that the heat and u have to work hard under the sun everyday . Thats the only reason why u get dark , Viets in the US are light because they dont have to work outside . But with Cambodians , i got no clues

Heck I'm light skinned and whenever I go to Vietnam, people will think that I'm a Viet Kieu, which is true in a way.

Yes and no. I instinctively knew many were very superficial to us and kinda sucked up to us to get the money. However, there were other genuine people who were friendly. Most of those genuine people were our close relatives and distant relatives. Very poor but very proud.

I myself gave 1k away while my family gave 3k to poor relatives and family friends in Vietnam. It feels good to help people.

Oh yeah it feels good to be sucked up to and treated like a king. LOL

Arent the overwhelming majority of vietnamese have dark skin? I have never even really seen a vietnamese with light skin...

Alright. I'll take your word for it. Most of the vietnamese that I have seen are much darker than that.

Only dark skin when we get exposed to the sun a lot. For some reason we get tanned very easily. Sometimes my skin is light and sometimes mine is dark though.
