I hear Vietnam is hosting the U.N world peace concert this year, last year Indonesia hosted it.
It's supposed to have performaces by the Black Eyed Peas, Hootie and the Blowfish and other crap performers.
If anyone is going can they post pictures of it here?
Will the Vietnamese audience even understand what the performers are singing?
I'm surprised the Communist governemnt is hosting a Western concert that might have political performaces as well.

"Lionel Richie, Gloria Gaynor and Hootie & the Blowfish have signed on for a peace-themed concert to be held June 22 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The event will also feature performances from Black Eyed Peas, former Police members Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers, British vocalist Sarah Brightman, pop artists Tata Young and Ah Mei and Indonesian rock act Slank.
Other acts set to appear are Gavin DeGraw, Angelique Kidjo, Kinky, Jurassic 5 and Nile Rodgers & Chic.
The event will celebrate musicians who have furthered world peace, including Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Harry Belafonte, Peter, Paul & Mary and Country Joe McDonald. McDonald and Peter, Paul & Mary's Peter Yarrow will be on hand to accept awards. Late Vietnamese composer Trinh Cong Son will also be honored for his 1969 Asian hit "Lullaby."
Show producer Matt Taylor says the event is aimed at "promoting peace throughout the world through music." Proceeds will aid individuals exposed to the Vietnam War-era defoliant Agent Orange."
