Yeah we USED to make fun of Chinese because we had to retailiate against the ones that would make fun of us.

Yes Filipino's were with the Americans during the Vietnam War but all they did really was just pave roads for the American forces and didn't really do any fighting.

America just needed an international "coalition" to show that the war was justified.

Anyway, there's been a lot of crap about skin tone being said on the forums as of late. People have been saying things like 'all Viets are light skinned so the dark ones must have a tan or they're actually ethnic minorities' or 'Chinese don't look like Viets because they have completely different features and whatnot'. This is absolute bull$hit said by ignorant people and racists alike. The fact is there is plenty of genetic diversity in all ethnicities. It's not uncommon to run into a dark Vietnamese or Chinese or a light Khmer or Thai. Of course, ones environment plays a significant role in skin colour, but the fact that there is even a single Chinese person who happens to be naturally darker than a Vietnamese or Khmer person should imply that it's not the sole determining factor. There will be plenty of dark Chinese, dark Viets, light Cambodians, light Filipinos, Chinese that look like Viets, Filipinos that look Chinese etcetera etcetera based on genetic diversity alone since we all, for some or the most part, belong to the same freaking race.
