Kick their asses just like we did the French and then kick them out.

Since Spain isn't a close ally of the U.S like France was and they were former enemies as well I doubt the U.S would help and thus no Vietnam War and our country would still be rich like South Korea is today.

Afterwards we would find new Vietnamese names for ourselves and throw out the Spanish ones. I wouldn't keep a Spanish name if I had the choice since it is a reminder of Colonialism and stuff.

The Philippines and Vietnam have no real beef with each other. Vietnam is located in the asian mainland and the Philippines are islands located in the Pacific Ocean. I don't know why he is angry with filipinos?

first of all. i am going to tell you about the native filipino in respect to our history of colonialism.

1) much of the philippines were able to be conquered because we were not a single entity or had solidarity as much of the other nations in Asia at the time.

2) only the people who had already established kingdoms in the philippines were spared colonial imperilism because they FOUGHT and they were UNITED and that is why they are UNCONQUERABLE to this day.

those were the:

1) IGOROTS OF LUZON ISLAND

2) LUMADS OF MINDANAO ISLAND

3) MOROS OF SULU

these people were never conquered by spain or american colonists and survive to this day practicing their indigenous and pre-imperilistic cultures..

so viets had an advantage and would probably fair better but im sure with the spaniards more advance technology they would have left some impression on vietnamese culture. french is spoken in vietnam, your writing script is gone. vietnam is the 2nd largest christian nation in asia after the philippines...

do not look down on filipinos because we suffered the worst type of white colonizer. the spaniard and the french were different types of imperilists.

spaniards take land & resources, and kill you, and try to destory your culture.

the only people compareable to Filipinos are the those who were conquered by the Spainards in the Americas.

look at them. they had aztec kingdoms; armies, unifed political entities, temples.... and they were conquered in less than 50 years and their traditions and languages were replaced with SPANISH.

but the philippines, it take 300 years to conquer us, and we still have 3 unconquerable entities in the philippines. and we still retain our native languages with only spanish loan words, we do not speak spanish. and spanish did not change the language at all.

How long was the Phillipines a colony for?

I think it was 300 years.

We were colonized for less than 100 years by the French, but I still think the French were bigger jerks. After World War 2, Vietnam and some other French colonies were basically the only colonized countries left.

The British and the Spainards learned that colonization is evil but the French didn't. So we had to kick their asses and then the Americans came and joined in and that's when our country fell into the dark ages and we lost our economy and we became poor and the war damage still exists. If the French had learned the lessons as the other colony countries than this would never happen.

Spain never learned that colonization was wrong. They needed to have been kicked out from Latin America,Guam,and the Philippines for them to end their colonization.

the phillippines needed the Americans to come and kick out the Spanish, without the Americans the phillippines would still be part of Spain
