Forensic accountants investigate whether there have been any corporate crime (insolvent trading, fraud, etc). I'm currently dealing with bankruptcies. I locate assets and realise them for the benefit of creditors.

I'm a business owner in Orange County, CA. And no, it has nothing to do with nails, restaurant, or coffee shop. I'm in retail about to get into manufacturing, and maybe one day own a factory in vietnam as well as an import/export business too. Ultimately, I want to be a real estate mogul or wealthy investor.

A degree in IT at most college is useless in the real world. I hardly ever need to apply any I learn at work. As for my job goes I use my problem solving skill everyday.

When I was in engineering school, I didn't really like math, but I used it. And because I used math so effectively, I was very good at it. There is one thing I learned, which you probably already know: the average chapter of an engineering book contains about 80 to 200 equations. If you tried to learn every single equation, you'd go insane. What you have to do instead is to identify the four or five key equations, from which the 80 to 200 equations are derived. If you understand how they are derived, then you are in great shape.
I would focus almost totally on doing the homework successfully. If you are stuck, then go back to the four or five key equations, and seek to apply them successfully to the homework problems. If you can resolve the homework problems successfully, then you'll do very well on the exams. Work with other students if you have to, but make sure that you are putting in your own effort. Otherwise, if you are just handed the solutions and you don't review them, then you are not learning anything - I compared my solutions with other good students' solutions all the time, before I handed them in.
