If you had to kill 3 millions people (majority of them are innocent, good people), to have 80 millions people living in their own country, 3 millions living abroad, a dozen AF members (some of them posting strange questions), would you do it? and why???

It all depends on whether those 100,000 people are worth saving, are all of them good people? if the answer is yes, then YES, I would kill those 100 good citizens + 1 bad citizen (myself included)!

NO! you have no right to take the lives of others just to save more others... how would you like it if someone had to kill you just to save others.
whoever answered yes, i assume is no different then those psychopaths on the streets...

i would call each of the 100 "good" citizens and explain the situation to them. then i'd ask if they would voluntarily take their life to save 100,000 people. if they're truly good they'll agree, if not, then they're not really good are they?

IMO, each individual is a pawn for the whole society, people as a group would be willing to sacrifice a minority of small number of people for the good of the majority. There is no such thing as equality, i mean if there is a major flood, earthquake, nuclear strike, who would be save first, Bush ofcourse, then the few government elites, then the rich people, then the commoners like us would be left to suffer. So to answer the question, yes.

nope i wouldnt kill them, instead id try saving whatever is trying to kill the 100 thousand people.. and i doubt 100 thousand people would be held hostage

, unless its like a bomb or something.. but i dont think anyone has that kind of power. and there will never be such a situation. I suggest you stop watching action movies :p

Yes, I would kill them. If you were a fighter pilot with a jumbo jet in your crosshairs and it was headed for a building, oh let's just call it the WTC, you wouldn't try to save thousands of lives just for a few hundreds? It's a tough job but somebody has to do it. People who said no, I hope you never land a job that requires you to make those decisions. The public will linch you for not trying to save those thousands of lives.

For her cubs' survival, the tiger has to kill many deers; for her own survival, the termite queen has to eat many of her own eggs. Hey, that's the moral of living

Some people fear death. Fearing death doesn't make you bad now does it? If they say no, it could just be they're scared of dying. Scared of the uncertain. Saying no doesn't necessarily make them bad.

During the war, USAF and VNAF destroyed 2 villages to save a US pilot who was shot down somewhere in Mekong Delta (near Long Xuyen / Can Tho area)...
In the interview, the pilot said the MACVN HQ told him to meet a rescue team near the river... The prob was there were 2 villages between him and the river... The MACVN HQ told him not to worry about those villages... The USAF took care one village and VNAF destroyed the other... He guessed each village had about 30 to 40 houses... On the way to the river, he said that he had to take care of 3 kids (about 4 to 6 yrs old) with just his bare hands and a knife... He said it was either him or those kids.
I guess the "Fog of War" was very thick at that time.

Well... Let's just say... I "took care" of my TV and remote control at that moment.
It was just the way he described the incident that made me lost my religion.
