just wonderin if neonE else listens to viet bands like asia 4 (the onli really famous one), 1088, dua hau, mat ngoc, tu ca ngau nhien, go on, mtv, tik tik tak..?

I do listen to Asia 4, dua hau, and tik tik tak,...the others, I kinda forget about them, or they're new, and havn't heard about 'em much. I can't find their CD's anywhere in California, any suggestion? store, location?

well i would like to say i do but i dont. i really dont find any vietnamese music that suits me. mainly bcuz all the vietnamese music i hear is the sad ones about tradgey and war from my mom. so i dont get to listen to modern vietnamese music. maybe you could help me out on which vietnamese music is good. ucz i dont know any really.

haha i use to hate vieetnamese music coz i only heard the type my mum listens to as well. im a bit behind coz the most recent viet music i listen to is few months ago. mostly i think music that comes from vN is better than the viet music from usa. uhh.. singer like ung hoang phuc is popular but i prefer songs like from hoang chau, and bands like d&d, mtv band, ngau nhien.. umm and lam truong stilll sounds better than ever

da beat, lyrics, everyfin...i dunno...da way dat viet musik is composed n sung...itz unique...if u lisen closely, viet music jus sounds diff from Eng music....

Wat i'v noticed is A4, Trish, Le Tam...otha viet singa composa type...they use a lot of keyboard/piano in there music....dun even say 'Delta Goodrem does 2'...cos well....itz a diff style n i like da viet composa type beta

so im a bit behind in the viet singers from america buT i think they're catching up with the times a bit. i know that lots of vn singers have dance tracks now.. and theres lots of dance in viet industry come to think of it.

I prefer the 'sad' sounding Viet songs ... by both men & women viet singers ... They sound more genuine. The dance tracks ...well, we all know its done so much better by western music producers, in US, UK, Europe and Australia. Asian dance music always sounds like a copy to me, but at least the sad love songs sound like they come from the heart. When I was in HCMC last year, a lot of the ppl there sing these sad songs as they work, walk in the steet, eat Pho ... Vietnamese ppl love their own music !! Its when they try to compete with western styles ... it never works... Paris by Nights (mostly viet dance music)is popular, but only with vietnamese... Non viets have never heard of it ... and probably don't want to !

well, most non-asians don't listen to asian music and have never heard of the stuff am i right? i dont think many non-viets have heard of the 'sad' sounding viet songs.
