I am very happy for Linh Danh Pham and her accomplishment.

On the other hand, Vietnamese women are natural born actresses including the women in my family. And now that I think about it, an Irish American friend of mine once confided to me "...They are all actresses..."

i don't think it is a praise, I would interpret it as a criticism of Vietnamese women's hypocrisy . Which is somewhat right for those who follow the outdated principles of "Công dung ngôn ha.nh"

I think Vietnamese women are wonderful, I have nothing but respect for them, I am crazy about them even though they sometimes drive me crazy, but let me see: can the Vietnamese women in your life blow hot or cold on cue? Can they make you laugh or cry at will? Can they run your life, even as they claim that they are giving you the freedom to do anything you want? Do they say nothing but good things about the kids when the guests are in the house, and go back to being disciplinarian after the guests have left? In summary, aren't Vietnamese women - and women in general, actresses?

I don't know, do we have a particular characters because of our economic background or cultural bacground ???
