No I didn't go back to vietnam but I read some news website that say that Vietnam had won the 22nd SEA (south East asian)games. It is just like the olympic but only south east asians countries that compete with each other. Vn had received 158 gold metal and vn came on top with the most gold metals. Thailand is second with only 90 gold metals.

RockHeart, why do you have to use "!" instead of "?" in the topic title? Isn't it supposed to be a question? Not a yell or a strong statement?

And to answer your question, I am just as blind as you are.

I was there in 2001, 2002 and April of 2004, it was all good!!! Btw, my brother inlaw was in the SEAGAME, he won gold for fencing in Hanoi. Vietnam has come a long way since I left back in the late 70's. The first time I went back after over 20 yrs departed was in 2001, it was pretty amazing. I met my relatives and everything was wonderful, just like in the movies, beautiful green rice fields, boys riding buffalos in NHA QUE, street was full of motorbike (100 - 150cc max), xich lo, bicycle and OMG so many people. I was in Hai Duong for couple days and then left for Hanoi (my birth place), I visited relatives all over and it was a good feeling. Being back to my birth country and my root, feels great! I have so many cool stories to tell but it's too long so we'll save it for next time... Anyway, for anyone of you who has never been back, take my advise, take a trip there and experience everything that the MEDIA/NEWSPAPER/RADIO will not disclose.... biggthumpup.gif
