Pilipino language have some similarities with both melayu and indonesia. Anak is child but if you are referring to children its ( mga anak) not anak-anak, Salamat is thank you. Ako is me while it Aku (u) in your native Bahasa. one of my aunt is half-Indonesian.Perhaps you could post some Bahasa Indonesian words here.

Halo! What words do you wanna know? There're similarities in our laguange but there're differences too. Terima kasih is thank u. Actually, I don't know much about the difference between Melayu and Indonesian. What I know is there're many words that are in same structure, but have different meaning. For example, pusing is headache in Bahasa Indonesia but in Melayu, it means to round. Ha..ha.. I'm so confused of it, too.

:deal: You could post topics like how to count in Bahasa Indoneian,simple greetings, months and days. just like what someone had posted in the Chinese Chat. she posted how to learn simple words.
Minggu=Sunday etc. You may put all the days of the week. :love: I would also like to see the Indonesian spellings.

:deal: Okay! seems that you know a lot about my language.
We'll start with days.
Monday=Senin
Tuesday=Selasa
Wednesday=Rabu
Thursday=Kamis
Friday=Jum'at
Saturday=Sabtu
Sunday=Minggu
The months aren't pronounced much different with them in English.
When we meet someone for the first time, we usually say Hi and then ask "Apa kabar?" which means "How are you?". To ask someone's name, we ask "Siapa namamu?", means "what's your name?". "Senang bertemu denganmu" is "nice to meet you".
If we wanna say good bye, we say "selamat tinggal, sampai bertemu lagi" which means good bye, see you later.
Can you pronounce them correctly?
BTW, we can talk about Indonesian food. It's very spicy and hot and of course very delicious.
