There are like officially 3 accents/dialect of vietnamese..
Ok tell me the difference of "word usages" between Hanoi people, Hue people, and Saigon peop.e

i feel like i inspired this topic 2!! hehee
i think there are more than 3.. nguoi quang nam or quang ngai noi chuyen hoi kho nghe hon...
1st one: banh da

- banh trang.. i think Hue ppl use banh da, not sure...
khong rang mo = khong sao dau (that's all i learned from my trip 2 Hue..lol)

There's a river that separates Da Nang and the rest of "nha que" accent people. I lived in the city, and we don't speak with a "nha que" accent. It's kind of hard to explain, but my family don't speak "nha que" accent, we speak the south accent, but more clear than the south.
Egg roll = chả ram (I say it)
Egg roll = chả rôm (nhà quê say it)
South = nam (I say it)
South = nôm (nhà quê say it)

if u live in the city then ur accents are no longer ur town's accents...'cuz u associate with ppl outside ur town.. and influence each other..

nah.. gi is more west of saigon like Chau doc and Tay Ninh...
Saigonese say "r"more clearly
I notice Ky Duyen and Nguyen Ngoc Ngan has crossing between north and south accent...
Nguyen Ngoc Ngan said a lot of "z"
but he said "ngan" instead of "nghin" and stuff.

I personally think a guy speaking the northern accent is the cutest and as for girls, I guess they sound fine in any accent hehe, maybe not rural southern, I wouldn't want someone b!tch!ng at me in that kind of accent, it just sounds so harsh hehe.

That was my first impression, too. But then I get used to it because my parents have a friend who is Bac.
