That would be boring, besides Northern Vietnamese historically don't wear Ao dai that much. Ao dai was a product of Nguyen lords to differentiate with traditional Ao tu than worn in the North

then why do we choose ao dai as our traditional dress? I just think we should make all our students to wear ao dai to differentiate ourselves from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean (they all wear the same uniform)

They do in the South because it's hot (21°C at night up to 39°C in afternoons).

If you want to chill your behind in the North then why not just try when you go there?

My origin is South VN. I find Southern Vietnamese girls on average more attractive. But I also attract to some Northern Vietnamese girls with their sweet and polite voice, uiya especially those that said "vang a., vang a." and called me "anh".

On average (I'm keep saying on average since I want to emphasize in general), NVN girls are more polite and sweet. But after become a couple, they're controling, demanding and less caring compare to SVN girls.

I like the northern ones

I like ao dai, but also the simple and convient northern Uniform. Plus, the northern girl are realy cute. Even my dad and grandfather who have been in the North(unwilingly) said the same too.

My vote is Vietnamese wimin in A'o Da`i.

wow i did not know that the uniform differs from south to north. the northern style looks really simple---a shirt and pants. question: how come we don't wear those cute little outfits that the japanese high school girls wear? i think they're so cute! but yeah choosing between the two i think i like the southern better. seems more traditional in a way like keeping the past upon its throne...i dunno...i think its cool when bunch of high school girls get off from school and are on the streets, you can tell that they're high school girls. lol with the northern one, it looks too simple and nonconventional. cant even tell that they are going to school or something. not even uniforms in my opinion.

elementary and middle school students wear the modern uniform like in Japan. Different schools order different styles for their kids. When you get to highschool, girls have to wear Ao Dai.

Southern would definitely look better, but it's not the usual thing you wear on a normal day.
