why do viets have such bad tempers?, esspecially the fobs, whenever they get mad they spin around like the tazz manian devil you know like the cartoon. sometimes it could be little things that will set them off. last time i was in the library and this viet guy was talkin all loud and $hit and the librarian told him to lower his voice and he spazz out screaming with a big fat vein on his forehead, they had to call the police and they took him in. but i did feel sorry for him cause that's how vietnamese people talk.

Everybody can not get things the way they want everytime. That is the truth we have to accept and learn how to deal with it. Loosing temper is the one of the worst possible ways to deal with all situations. Learning to keep your temper will get you much further in life.

Temper, i think, is a result of genetic and cultural factor. Genetic component such as a high level of testosterone contributes a lot to how prone you are to anger. Cultural components (education, accepted behavior, etc) could certainly help people to better assess the situation, and learn to cope better with it. Both bad-temper and good-temper people can have high IQ but it is known that high EQ people has good temper.

Overseas Vietnamese may not very practically well-educated in Vietnamese culture i.e. they may know what the culture is supposed to be like but they are not comfortable with it.

The stereotype of the bad temper of the Vietnamese, i think, is a myth. It may be promoted by some people, who are not culturally well educated themselves. Certainly i dont mind Vietnamese people talking in Vietnamese but they loosing their temper is a shame to them and to us.

But, with one twist,

loosing temper on AF is not counted.

Guys guys! Bad temper or not, sometimes I think it's a good thing for Vietnamese people. Why? Use it constructively by kicking the @sses of those godamn Taiwanese and Koreans that abuse their Vietnamese wives and or look down on your own people in your own country, I've seen it and wished I could do something about it.
