No that's not the case. Not every single country in the world has accomplished what Vietnam has accomplished in less than 20 years of economic transformation. Look at Africa, the Middle East, South America, Central Asia, Eastern Europe among other places. Has growth and change occurred in those regions I've mentioned? Have their GDP been growing on average 7 percent for the last 10-15 years? Have they suffered so much yet recovered so fast? YOu must take not that the trade embargo with Vietnam was only lifted in 1994. Considering how much Vietnam has changed since, it's pretty amazing.

There was a misunderstanding. Your wording was not very clear and it could easily be mistaken for a provocative comment, that's why I asked you to clarify your statement. Now let's move on.
Love the skyscrapers in Shanghai though, very futuristic, bizarre, outlandish and over the top, especially the Pearl of the Orient tower. Love it though. I've read sources where it says Pudong and Shanghai is slowly sinking because it was built on marshland and the current state of development is adding pressure to the foundation, causing a sinking of a few centimetres a year or so.

Usually the pictures we find online are showing either the best or the worst of a country. I'd like to see what it really is like. Which is why I share pictures I took from my trips on here.
Pictures of Taiwan for example.

Bridge over the River Han in Da Nang, VN.

Hey! That's where I used to live, about 10 minutes jog from that bridge. It was built in 2000, and the bridge spins around for boats to go through. You can go to that small deck at the bottom of the picture and rent a boat and it'll take you to the other side of the river.
Oh, I had so much fun on that bridge when I was there in 2000. Oh Da Nang, I am coming back!
