Well, as for me I am from srok Chumka, Preah Trapeang (aka. Tra Vinh). Ever heard of WAT KHU (spelling)? Well, there was a royal palace there. Now is nothing but WAT, old...very old. Cannot find any evidence to prove it. In my opinion, Wat Khu Preah Trapeang is the best because it is still hold the piece of evidences that Khmer Empire was once ruled there. Many folks stories are told from there. One that is still in my memory was the story of digging a srak (pool?) where WOMEN compete against MEN to see whom would dig the DEEPEST. Guest who win? Nope, not MEN it is the WOMEN. Why? Cuz the MEN are too busy stare at them. Why? Cuz the WOMEN are NAKED!! embarassedlaugh.gif I didn't made that up by the way.

Here is a photos of old Khmer Empire.

You're absolutely right, My compatriot!!! How about another comments??? icon_redface.gif

Yeah! It seemed the "Srass-Pross" and "Srass-Srei" in WATT ChamPa. Thats a Memorable history of digging the Pools of KhmerMen and KhmerWemen. The Men always want to cheat to the Wemen...Because its just FUN.

I really love that story...

Thanks guys for sharing little details of some Khmer provinces in Kampuchea Krom. It has been enlightening for me to say the very least. Please do share more. Tell me more about this province called "Preah Trapieng". I heard that Khmer royalties used to live there, is that right? In addition, what do you know about that treacherous Vietnamese wife of King JeyJetha II? Did they have any offsprings together? I heard that in general the Khmer people had grown to hate "ALL" Vientamese women because of that Vietnamese wife of "THAT" incompetent Khmer King.

That is true FKR. Khmer royalties used to live there in Preah Trapeang. Let me try to remember the name. But the place is very pretty (nice and cool and big place). Lots of old dam tear (spelling). And like I said, there is a WAT over there that is very very old. Every year, on Lunar Festival (oc bom moc), every Khmer Krom go there to celebrate. Further, all Wats from other province come there and compete in many variety of game (to see which wat is the best). I can't recalled the name of the games but it was fun. Don't know if they are still allowed Khmer Krom to participate all of those thing anymore but it would be sad if they won't.

Yes, there was a royalties lived there. The wat name is Wat Khu in the province known as Sumrong (spelling?). FKR, I have been Vietnamise (forbid to learn our Khmer history) and as a result I don't know anything about King JeyJetha II. Maybe someone else will and probably I would learn something new too.

Peace to my people beerchug.gif

To FKR and all our people around the globe who will like to regconize how many provinces in South-KhmerKampuchea Krom:

The Province Names are:
*********************
1. Preik Russei ( Can-Tho )
2. Khleang ( Soc-Trang)
3. Pu-Leo ( Bac-Lieu)
4. Gia-Ray ( Gia-Rai)
5. Tuc-Khmao ( Ca-Mau)

6. Preah Tra-Peang
7. Ca-muon-So
8. Prei-No-Kor...

And Menh chron tov tiet...there are many more to go....
I lived in Khleang province. Its a beautiful place and great environment for living. As far i knew about it. Its the multi-nations of living. The customers didn't recognize which nation to another. They spoke International Language as: Chinese, Khmer, Viet, ...They had a cute communication and excellent conversation...The most languages they used to communicate is VIET...Some Kuon-Khmers lived in the city didn't speak KhmerLanguage...Even KounViets live in KhmersHomeTown didn't speak its own language either...Thats the year was before VIETs HaNOI controlled....

Now, Its very horrible lives of KhmerKrom...Because Ah! VietHaNoi (NORTHVN) regime is very dangerous!!! Every one are so scared of them!! It couldn't allow the Khmers establish the KhmerSchool. It forced the Khmers to forget the Khmer Customs, Cultures, Tradition, Civilization, Religion and very much more....If the Khmers against back to them, they put Khmers into the Jail or Kill....

Exactely whatever DAI VIET SAID: "KHMERS DIDN"T FOLLOW THE VIET"S LAW, VIETS KILL KHMERS ALL"....When i heard that word...I have to escape....
