-Me, I'm 1/2 Vietnamese (dad) and 1/2 Korean (mom).

I'm full. I have a cousin who is also half Korean. He speaks more Korean than Vietnamese. Do you speak Korean?

I'm Vietnamese but I have a nephew who is half French, since I have family who live in France and have intermarried with the white people there.

I assumed that this topic is asking whether someone is full Viet biologically (which is impossible).

it's generally accepted that if your parents are Viet, you are Viet..... so would that ^__ question be impossible to answer.. 'cuz especially if you know you mix with like 10 races.. how much percent would you give each.. i dun think he meant to ask that question biologically in the sense you are talking about kuluong...

I assume that it's a common practice to backtrack the generations as far as we can. If we don't see any otherwise, then I assume we can say we're full (since your biological theory on bloodline is impossible to prove)

i don't think there are that many viets who are "PURE" as a lot of them claimed to be. a lot of their women were raped during chinese domination. a lot of them are probably sino-vietnamese.

Besides, Vietnamese (Jing/Kinh) is a mixed ethnicity anyway. Half of modern Vietnamese ancestors originated from southern China and they interbred with local Khmers when they conquered the ancient Khmer Empire in southern Vietnam.

And that is why you see more beautiful people in the south and central. Because they mixed cham and khmer.

sorry, maybe i shouldn't just use the word rape. there were intermarriages between chinese and vietnamese and there are bound to be some criminal acts commited by the chinese against the vietnamese since they viewed viets as inferior.

also, where's the evidence of viets and khmers interbred with one another? there were some but i doubt there were many. khmers never liked the vietnamese ever since they got their land stolen from them and a khmer king was betrayed by his vietnamese wife. khmer people see vietnamese people as witty and manipulative . they got so many tricks up their sleeves. khmers led a few revolts against vietnamese occupation during the 1700's. the vietnamese emperor(forgot name) was angry because he failed to vietnamize the khmer people. vietnamese people tried to eradicate khmer culture when they occupied our land during the 18th century.

no. i gave him reasons why khmers and vietnamese intermarriages don't occur as often. he asked me for evidence of the "raping" of vietnamese women so i asked him where's the evidence of khmers and vietnamese interbred? there were some but not a whole lot. there weren'tenough intermarriages between the two people to say a lot of vietnamese are mixed khmer because that was what kulong was saying.

And the vietnamese wife didn't betray the king either. Usually Vietnamese princess (concubine's daughter) are married off to exchange for land.
