Has anyone read Shadow of the Dragon? I just finished it and found it interesting, although it is fiction and I'm not sure how accurate its story may or may not be to Vietnamese Americans.
It takes place in Little Saigon so I let my fiancee read the summary and he didn't think it sounded realistic. But then, he didn't seem to have the problems that the characters in the book did either.
So I was wondering if anyone has read it and has an opinion?

Interesting Jenny. I'd love to read some of those books, but I am just too lazy nowaday when I comes to books. <<<shrug>>> Eventhough I am always at the library doing my homework with friends, and that's all that is in college.

Yes I remember college. I don't think I read anything for "pleasure" in college, I was too busy reading what I "had to" and I barely did that. I partied my way through undergrad and somehow managed a 3.0, and never got serious until graduate school when I somehow managed to take school seriously and graduate with a 4.0. I sometimes wonder how different my life would be had I actually cared about undergrad.
Whats funny, is that now as an adult with no school to attend, I am more fascinating with learning, then I ever was when I "had to" lol.
but if you do have a free moment for pleasure reading, I've read several books that I've found very fascinating and I would recommend especially to Vietnamese Americans.

Wow! 4.0 in graduate school. Wow Jenny! You're starting to make me feel ashamed of my school works already. Hehhehhee... My roommate is a "double E" (electrical) and never spends more than 1 hour doing homework, and he still pulls a 3.9 cumulative. While I am an "ae" (aerospace) and spends hours upon hours in la biblioteca and still can't compare to his. Although I went out and party more than he did with my frats friends, but arggh... any suggestions Jenny?
