Why are some of you [in here] are against the current (I repeat the current) government of Vietnam?
herosword
That has already been answered. This is redudunt. Why are Viet Cong protective of the current Vietnamese govt instead of asking it to reform is the better question?
DAI_VIET
I don't see any answers yet. And that question has not been answered anywhere yet. And, the Vietnamese government is beginning to reform as we speak right now. In the next 15 years, I can guarantee you that Vietnam will reach the status of total capitalism.

We need more than economic reforms. We need political reforms. But read the other posts. Isnt' it obvious why most Vietnamese abroad are anti-communist?
drunkenmonkey
Because the current government is not what the people wants. I can bet my life with anyone that if the people of vietnam right now has a choice to choose between democracy and communism, their choice will be democracy...

btw, i saw a documentary on the CBC (canada broadcast channel) while ago about some underground democracy movement groups in vietnam. What's interesting is that the main group is from the north where communism support is much stronger than central or south, its name is thanh minh or something (don't quite remember).
