Ten additional least-developed countries are in the process of accession to the WTO. They are: Bhutan, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Ethiopia, Laos, Nepal, Samoa, Sudan, Vanuatu and Yemen.

Cambodia is not exactly "in" the WTO, since it is still having political deadlocks between the gov't and other political parties. Recently, the country had just asked WTO for a six months extension.

For your information, joinning the WTO can potentially hurt the local manufacturers, as it can turn a member's market into a dumping lot for massive exporting countries like China, as much as the coming good things like attracting many foreign investors and avoiding exporting quota. Maybe that's one of the reasons countries like Vietnam are still at the negotiating table. However, I think Cambodia will be much better off with WTO and I hope it will be in soon.

This is new to me, Khmer people actually want to take South Vietnam? I never know that Khmer people hate Vietnamese. I'm all for Cambodia to have their own gov't in Cambodia, but you won't ever take South Vietnam whether you want to or not. I highly doubt there are 8 millions Khmer Kroms in South Vietnam, Vietnam all together have 82.5 millions with the latest census, and nguoi Kinh is 92%+. The next major ethnic is Chinese and Muong and even they only have 1 million max. So how can there be 8 million Cambodians in South Vietnam? Think people, I'm sure it's just some propaganda by anti-Vietnamese Cambodians.

I recognized that South VN was once yours, but what lost has lost for a long time, and you people never able to use the land to its full potential anyways. South Vietnam is different from China when the mongols and manchus conquered her. Chinese was the majority, while in South Vietnam, Vietnamese are the majority, we've mass migrated south. Manchus and Mongols adopt Chinese culture, whereas we just keep ours.

Your luck at getting South Vietnam back is as slim as the Native Americans getting back the Americas. Think, one day Americans going to go, oh I feel bad for the Indians, so let's mass migrate back to Europe and give the land back to the Indians. The same land they developed and lived in for 300 years, where they outnumbered the Indians 100,000 to 1. Same in Vietnam my Cambodian friends, Vietnam outnumbered Cambodians and we developed the land.

And I wonder why you guys don't hate Thais, as far as I know they took way more land from "the mighty Khmer Kingdom" than we ever did.

1. Native Americans take back their land
2. Mexicans take California, Arizona, and Mexico

Fiji, it's cliche to say what EVERYONES said....but I'll say it again. South Vietnam (khmer krom) belonged to Cambodians not so long ago...therefore, there are going to be many (9 million) Cambodians (khmer) living in South Vietnam(KHMER KROM). So you shouldnt HIGHLY DOUBT IT. It's not so hard to believe. In the hearts and soul of ALL KHMERS, they acknowledge the past and the present. A piece of documentary film or paper will not justify it for them or for any other counrty for that matter. They have too much knowledge and pain as many other countries do which is why we ALL try to prevent history from repeating itself. And also why do you think that Vietnam's Gov. is trying to forbid Khmer tradition and practive in Khmer Krom (south vietnam)? Well, because Vietnam fears that Khmers are dominating South Vietnam and too many Khmers who will undertake the land.

First off...I truly am trying to have an adult conversation....please, dont be rude and word things a little better so we dont ignite the flame again.

I'm not trying to disappoint a country's "achievements". But I want people to realize that each country has its ups and downs. And to prevent downfalls for every country, we all must clarify our mishaps. And to some people...(im not gonna categories by race because it applies to only individuals)they may not acknowledge nor try to see other countries' perspective, but please try to.

I stand as an individual. Im proud of where and how things turned out for my parents after going through the killing fields and surviving it...giving me everything.....THAT IS HOW I CAN SAY IM PROUD TO BE KHMER. A lot of things happen to my parents...coming to America... was another stage of fear like not learning the language, not having a job to support the kids, and just afraid that me and my bros will not fit in this society like a lot of other families. The hard part was leaving our relatives behind not knowing what the future holds and how they'll be. The torture...was another. POINT IS....when i read from other individuals saying that khmer are dark skin $hits.........do nothing...arent nothing...THATS A SLAP IN THE FACE...because...the surviving khmer people deserves a lot more credit than a bunch of $hit talking. I dont know how else to explain it...but dont be ignorant towards other race because it only limits us to meet other great people like ourselves.
