Here you go.

The dvd details are in Vietnamese but the ordering instructions are in English, just add it to your cart, scroll down to the bottom and click the check out button, and then fill in your information and other details.

I never watched a Paris by Night show before, are they done in only Vietnamese language or does the dvd translate into English as well or do they use both languages back and forth?

I watch a few and to my knowledge it only in Vietnamese.
I find it odd for the songs to be translated in any language unless it by different singers and they are inflenced by the language.
Movie are different for you can tell they are dubbed but umm.... never know what can happen with modern technology but I still find it werid to dubbed songs.
Like in Japanese Anime, the songs are still in Japanese.
I'll get the answer from my homeboy if no one answer this.

Brilliant! Thanks man - All the ones I was looking for are there. They are apparantly filmed in California, sung and hosted by Vietnamese Americans - with no subtitles or translation. I don't understand one word, I just like giving them as gifts to vietnamese friends icon_smile.gif Girls love this stuff! I don't mind the songs and watching the performances by the female singers and dancers.

Thanks Again
Steve

The last time I saw Paris by Night was about 5 years ago. And what release number was what? 34? Man, how time flies.

Kambolizhuz, welcome to our section. I am glad you're here. I like your signature. beerchug.gif

She has been here before, but yes she is always welcome. Does Vietnamese in Australia also watch Asia Entertainment or Paris by Night is the video to watch? Here in America it's equally divided with some household buying both. But I also recommend Asia Entertainment videos if you want to give it as gifts to friends.

Asia Rocks! Personally, I prefer Asia Entertainment much better than Paris By Night but yes households nowadays buy both, each side has its own perks. Here is the link for Asia from which you can also order dvds, vhs and so forth.

Side note: did you guys know one of the song in the paris by night that was held in san jose last year was nominated for the American Choreography Award along with Cher and Celine Dion in Las Vegas? Yes, we went up against the big dogs of shows and though we didn't win, it was still the recognition that matters.

It's not really about anything. It's just like a big concert for Vietnamese singers and performers. THey do skits and sing songs. And the hosts sometimes make funny jokes about life in general.

I think i watched almost all "Paris by Night" and Asia video. Between the two, PbN is better...

However the best of all is Van Son production...

Well, I see drunken monkey is a humor's man. Van song definitely got it on the humor. But singing and music wise, it really comes down to Paris by Night and Asia.

Yes, I agree Asia is better because it's innovative and willing to try new things such as discovering new stars. Nhu Quang first sang on Asia, as well as Mang Dinh and other big name stars, not to mention Trish (lately she's been disappointing me with her ugly hairstyles when she tried to dress like a Japanese girl! No!!!! I want cute Asian girls).

Back on subject, Paris by Night has its strengths also, but it is too predictable nowaday, esspecially with all the corny jokes the hosts makes (stop with the Viagra jokes; they're overdone).

The funny thing is that the mother of the Khi Yeng (I slaughtered the spellin of her name), one of the host on P by N, is the daughter of one of the host on Aisa. hehe, Mother-Daughter competition, wonder how they get along. The mother looks prettier than the daugther though she's 20 to 30 years older.

Arrgghhh... that's it. Next time, I am going to live in a large Vietnamese community!

PBN and Asia are releasing their latest production. Hope they will be good. Gotta agree with you herosword, Trish got weird hehe. I didn't like her hairstyle in Mua He Ruc Ro at all. Well I really like Asia because they're like a family in there. When new singers are recruited, they get grilled by Truc Sinh and Truc Ho on their first days. They come out crying because they get criticized and that's why their cohesiveness as a group strenghthens since they can rely on each other for support. After Tuyet Mai came on Asia, I can see where Ky Duyen got all her charm and sense of style, her momma taught that girl everything she knows.
From Asia, my favorite singers: Diep Thanh Than, Lam Thuy Van, Thanh Truc, Manh Dinh.
From PBN: Tran Thai Hoa, Don Ho and of course my husband Nguye^~n Hu*ng ( I know, he has a family, don't judge me hehe.)

Nguyen Hung eek.gif . I hate him because of his flamboyant style and cheap smile, but then again, I'm a guy embarassedlaugh.gif .

I thought Trish looked alright in Mua He Ruc Ro video, her hair was red but she was still pretty. In the new video that my parents just brought, she's hideous. She should fire her hair person and makeup artist before she loses anymore fans.

Wow, I didn't know Truc Ho and Truc Sinhs were such bastards. hehe.
And yes, it completely suprised me when I was watching the new video and they say that Lam Thuy Van is half Pakistani, which probably means she is a Muslim.
She is such a gorgeous Vietnamese woman though. Thanh Truc best them all in terms of beauty and grace. Nhu Quang is cute but her songs are not for the young generation and directed towards older people. I also like Jacequline Thuy Tram; she cute and she doesn't act weird like Trish.

Hey hey, watch it with the Nguyen Hung criticism here. I haven't seen the latest Asia but hopefully I can con my mom into buying it when I come back. What did you think of it overall? Lam Thuy Van's mom is Pakistani and I'm not sure about her religion but half-half maybe? I like them all equally but Thanh Truc has the overall grace, I heard she was going out with Vu Tuan Duc or something, anyhoo he's a cutie too. Gotta admit I still cannot like Orchid the MC for some reason, that girl just scares me.
herosword
Hehe...okay, I won't mess with Nguyen Hung, but at the risk of sounding gay, there are...uhh... better looking guys than him; don't you like them better?

Well, as for Orchid since she has worked on her ascent, and she nows speaks very clearly and I think she is rather cute; hook me up with a babe like that any day.

The new video is good. The theme is songs from around the world so you get hear lots of famous song that span the entire globe; it's very cool music! On the video, they say that Lam Thuy Van's mom is Vietnamese and her dad is Pakistani. I don't care who is what though, the point is that they produced a very well endowed daughter. embarassedlaugh.gif My only problem with Lam Thuy Van is that she has that beautiful but mean look ,sort of like a tiger...hmmm. I don't know her personally so I can't vouch if she really is that way. icon_smile.gif

By the way, I tried searching for a picture of Vu Tuan Duc because his name doesn't ring a bell. I want to see the face of the man who's good enough to date Thanh Truc, that lucky gun.

Yah, I don't know much about Nguyen Hung, but I've seen him on those DVDs, and he looks ahmm... "sến." Sorry drunk_on_tea, I broke your feelings about your husband. Hehehehhehe...
