First off, the name David is way too common. And it's also Jewish in origin.

Chen is a very common chinese name.

David Chen sounds very common. Nothing unique.

Asian parents always name their kids with common english names.

I think the names Cindi and Connie are very attractive english names

Is there a reason for the ill feeling toward Cantonese? I find the Cantonese dialect to be extremely smoothing to my ears even though I don't understand anything about it. Whenever I watch a Chinese movie with both Mandarin and Cantonese, I always listen to the Cantonese audio track.
