Hi There,

1) Did those religions get along together??
Because, what i experienced that is always have a little problem this and that while the country has multi-religions.This religion denounce its own political feature process. And another did the same way.
Then, each political religion conflict and against to each other...Do you think what i think???

2) Which religion would your belief?? Why do you believe that one??

For me, i've three religions: Because, Mom Catholic, Dad Buddhist, Me Juse Chris. and sometime i go with MOM, Dad.

Religions have their differences
but religion should never be a factor in a democratic process.
that would not be democracy
its like the Jews in Israel they want a jewish run govenment i say NEVER
Its all about ethics...i mean you may have different religions but i would never go out and systematically destroy you or oppress your people.

as for question 2
Religion is based on pity
you pity the soul who is not catholic or who is not your religion etc. for they are going the wrong path...Church goers look down on the people who dont go to churtch as if they are lacking something.

:genius: Well if look at the Philippine's history, before the Spaniards came in 1523, the Philippines predominat religion would be Islam. Same as our neighboring countries like Malaya, Dutch east Indies, Brunie, Etc. Then the Spaniards came, and Magellan died, then the Spaniards came again with more forces and converted most of the country with Christianity/Catholicism. There are some parts in the southern Philippines that still practices Islam and on the Northen tip of Philippines some practices animism. About 92% are Christians/Catholics, 5% Islam, and 3% Buddhist. Religion issues sometimes flame out violence specially in southern Mindanao where Muslim rebels tries to create a separate Islamic state. I read some issues in Indonesian Chat in AF about a topic between chinese and indonesian locals not getting along. I think in my opinion that maybe there are some religious issues going on that Indonesia doesnt like. Like the separation and Genocide of Predominant Christian/Catholic in East Timor. There are also a lot of Chinese people in the Philippines but they are not that hated as they are in Indonesia. The Philippines also have its share of Islamic militants and Extremists that leads into much violence, and i heard some news that Osama bin laden's terrorist network are operating there.

yup they sure do kahit yong mga INC and EL Shaddai and isn't Eddie Gil and Eddie Villanueva leaders of a religious org?

State and religion should be separate, di ba? Ideally, these two domains are separate but politicians know the influence of religion so they're using the people's vulnerability for their agenda. Especially the INC... sorry but I don't see the point of allowing your religion to influence your vote. How can you be sure that your chosen politicians will serve your benefit? Even if they do, don't you think that's a bit selfish?

Well not really, before the spanish came most filipinos were animists. Thats what true austronesian religion was. All the muslim filipinos were in the south, like in Mindanao, but they too were animists before the islamic religion arrived to the southern Philippines.

That is because politics is no longer a public service, but a business. :genius: I happen to be a Buddhist, which has absolutely nothing to do with me voting...
