It is complicated, RockHeart! When the might Vietnamese clashed with the Chinese over the Spratley Islands, the Chinese took 6 more islands away from the Vietnamese control. The Khmer do not have the military position to make their demand. Therefore, to get our lands back from the Viets, the Khmer must be very influential economically. That is the way to go. It works for the Jews, so it might also work with the Khmer too.

Just my opinion.

I agree FKR. The have planted their SEEDS deep into Cambodia now and the international community did not know. As of right now, we Khmer need to rebuild our army and get rid of those SEEDS before we can strengthen our power. As for me, I do not like WAR. No I am not afraid. War kill many lives!! I would first prefer the non-violent act to gain freedom for my people first before considered war. But if freedom is still denied to Khmer Krom and War arised between Khmer and Viet, I will not be a coward.

Thay, I admire your bravery for your beloved Kampuchea Krom. I wonder what would be the best policy for the Khmer people to fight against the Viets? Looking forwards to reading your ideas. Let us brainstorm first.

FKR, give me sometime to "brainstorm". First of all, I know everyone agree with me on this. When Hun Sen is gone then we can talk about "Khmer policy to fight against the Viets".

As everyone knows, Vietnamese are known for their agressiveness. How to fight agressiveness? Like the old saying, "to catch a thief, you have to be a thief" (something similar). So in my opinion, to fight their agressiveness, we have to be agressive ourself. We can't be peaceful anymore. Look at what peace got us. Nothing.

The number one important thing is that we need time to rebuild our army. Also, we need to created a Navy branch ourselve. We cannot fight the Viets by only one side. Otherwise, they would just be able to concentrate on that side and then the battle is hopeless since they come from the North and South.

However, I also think that if possible Khmer Krom need to rebel against the Viets first. Why? It help eliminate the threat from the South. It would be more helpful for us to worry only the North rather than BOTH. It is hard for that to happen since most Khmer Krom lived in Vietnam now can't recalled their origin (Vietnamise for too long).

Anyway, just a little opinion, would give some more if I don't have headache from studying for my Statistic class (hate it).

Anyone else care to share? Who knows, a little of this and a little of that may creates a CHUNK?
