Full Version: Sewage system in Vietnam
Anyone know anything about the sewage system in Vietnam, or more specifically in Saigon?
r u an expert in sewage systems?
Saigon's sewage system is pretty old, however there were many new reconstruction in my "hem" during the year 1998-1999.

You mean they built a real sewage system with tunnels and all to take away all the waste and dump it in the rivers? 
2. My grandparents' house where I grew up have had to use one of those enclosed cesspool, very common in Việt Nam.

No, man. It's just one of those small conveniences we take for granted where we live but it's a pretty big deal in Viet Nam.
Sewage system in SG has been approved but it still has many problems. flooding on streets after heavy rain is still common. however cesspool can be found only in suburban.
I think Ho Chi Minh City is undergoing a makeover, in which the sewage systems will be improved and expand for the growing population.
