^mind explaining why you don't feel sorry for the American soldier?
Why the hell should I get upset over one american being shot? He did not even die. American military incompetance is still killing innocent japanese to this day. Yet the americans do not get upset over it or even care. Do you even know about the american submarine that attacked a japanese boat filled with school children? So I feel the same way about that injured american. That is just how i personally feel.
wow...
that soldier COULD have been minding his business, and that japanese guy could have been just psycho... so no sympathy for him JUST because he is american?
every american is not evil or wanting to "destroy the asians" as some of you seem to have a mentality of.
now if there was a vaild REASON like he slept with the japanese guys wife, or he encountered him in some other form, THEN i could see it...other than that, you are no worse than Taliban members blowing up people just because they arent "like you"
"that soldier COULD have been minding his business, and that japanese guy could have been just psycho... so no sympathy for him JUST because he is american?"
That is correct. I give him no sympathy because of the sole fact that he was a american soldier. Infact I realize that he probably was minding his buisness and the japanese man should not be shooting who ever he wants (where did he get a gun in hiroshima anyway?). Even though the american did nothing wrong I will lose no sleep over his injury. I mean those japanese children on the boat were minding their buisness before they were attacked by the american military. Yet the americans do not give a damn hell it was not even on the news. Even if america formally appologized most really do not give a damn. It shows by the fact the commander was not punished. Let that have been a japanese submarine attacking american children. The americans would go insane with anger even if japan appologized for the act of incompetance.
"every american is not evil or wanting to "destroy the asians" as some of you seem to have a mentality of."
I am aware of this and I do not judge americans on a individual level.
"now if there was a vaild REASON like he slept with the japanese guys wife, or he encountered him in some other form, THEN i could see it...other than that, you are no worse than Taliban members blowing up people just because they arent "like you"
The reason I do not feel sorry for him is not because he does not look like me. I will break this down even further for you.
Japanese/asian dies=no one gives a damn.
American dies= everyone is up in arms.
Do you see the double standard now?
"I agree. He is an American, but he is also a human being. Hate often blinds.
China wants the US to leave Japan but it also opposes Japan rearming itself. This double standard can only lead to Japan's disadvantage."
Fortunatly the choice is not up to the chinese. If japan convinces the americans to allow rearming it will not matter what the chinese think. They will get over it.
You know what, F*CK YOU!!!!
As a human being, I am appalled by your comments. I have seen your comments and others bashing the US and ALL Americans, and have tried to understand. This is where my understanding ends.
How can you not be appalled by the death of that soldier (American or not) Your statement basically says that you value an American life less than some others. That would make you a racist.
Now before you talk about how America does the same, perhaps it does, but I don't see Japan giving billions of dollars in aid to countries.
Look, the US is the first superpower in the world's history that doesn't basically rape and pillage the countries that it conquers.
The US beat the $hit out of Japan. Did we make it a colony? Did we make you slaves? NO!
Did we invest in infrastructure? Did we invest in rebuilding what we had to destroy (because - by the the way, YOU STARTED THE F*CKING WAR - and by you, I mean your country) YES! And now that Japan is a world power,
Let's break it down. If an uncle gave you $10000 and said "here you go, make something of yourself" and you make it big. Then everytime the uncle comes around you call him an @$$hole and constantly criticize him, wouldn't that make you an @$$?
We Americans care. Unfortunately, we are not at the throats of every other country. We don't have an easy target in a country that it is in fashion to criticize.
If you read the account and the story of what happened with the submarine, the commander is forever haunted by the deaths and he will die with that guilt. He is appalled at what happened.
Let's talk a little history since you seen to want to talk about how bad America has been:
Here's a topic: by the same logic as you have described.
Why Japan is evil.
1. War crimes. Conducting scientific experiments on prisoners of war (not one or two - into the thousands of chinese, koreans, and philipinos)
2. Murdering of Prisoners of War. Killing indiscrimately chinese and american soldiers during world war II.
3. Kidnapping and raping of thousands (tens of thousands of asian women - mostly korean into various parts of east and southeast asia to use as sex slaves for almost ten years)
4. Free Trade. Japan doesn't know what this means. Everyone complains about the US trade policy. Hell, does anyone know how hard and expensive it is to get anything into Japan? $hit, America is a Cakewalk in comparison.
5. 9-11? It had a precursor called Pearl Harbor where over 2000 soldiers and sailors were killed by a surprise attack by the empire of Japan. War you may say but the US and Japan were not officially at war.
My point is that this is all history and done in the past.
You are generalizing and saying that Americans somehow deserve to be shot or if they are, it makes no difference to you.
This the kind of attitude that makes the world what it is. This is my opinion of course.
