At around 4 a.m., a man driving a car in the Nagarekawacho district of Naka-ku, Hiroshima, opened the passenger side window and suddenly fired a shot, Hiroshima Prefectural Police said. The bullet hit one of three Marines walking in the entertainment district. The man then got out of the car and pointed the gun at the two others and screamed in Japanese before getting back into the car and driving away.

I do not feel sorry at all for the american. Not in the slightest. I feel sorry that a japanese person would lower himself to commit such a crime. People cannot go around doing what ever they want.

Why the hell should I get upset over one american being shot? He did not even die. American military incompetance is still killing innocent japanese to this day. Yet the americans do not get upset over it or even care. Do you even know about the american submarine that attacked a japanese boat filled with school children? So I feel the same way about that injured american. That is just how i personally feel.

I heard about the accidents in Japan involving the military. I don't know much about it so I can't say whether the American actions were right or wrong. The Americans soldiers went unpunished, but under Japanese laws if one of its military personel was involved in such an acident how would that person be dealt with? My next question is do you want Americans soldiers to leave Japan? Remove its support and military presence completely even with the menace of North Korea and China?
直隸總督
lol, do you really think China will attack Japan once US leaves?
Japan is already capable to defend itself from North Korea.

North Koreans have nukes. Can Japan defend itself against that unless it builts nukes of its own. Does China want Japan to have nukes? icon_smile.gif I must compliment you on your choice of a signature though; that is one fine looking lady. Did she win a Miss Universal Pagent or something?

Actually having nukes won't do a thing to defend against a nuclear attack. Unless you mean Mutually Assured Destruction in which both sides don't win.

Well do you think attacking a boat in japanese waters filled with japanese citizens was right? If that was a japanese submarine attacking japanese ships they would have been imprisoned most likely. At the very least removed from service.

"My next question is do you want Americans soldiers to leave Japan?"

Yes. The americans are causing more harm to japanese people than good. Japan can stand on its own legs.

Japan has already been attacked and threatened by the north koreans. The americans do nothing. So they should not be there because they are only eating japanese resources and taking up our land. If japan was to begin rearm today china would not be such a problem in the future. As I have said there is no reason for american soldiers to be in japan now.

If the Japanese government asked the American government to leave, I would support the move wholeheartedly. Why waste "American resources" on an ally that doesn't want your help. Yet the Japanese government hasn't so I'm not sure if your views is reflective of the Japanese majority. I sypathize with the submarines accident though. I think the soldier should have been dismissed from the service (maybe he has). And I think the informed American public does care. There was just monetary compensation and an official apology from the United States' government; no one wants such a tragedy to happen.

I will explaine to you the situation in japan right now. Japanese government knows that it can handle most threats withs its own forces. The government worries about a nuclear threat more than anything. They want to hide beind americans "nuclear umbrella". The older generation of japanese do not want the nukes there. The younger generations are rapidly losing their fear of such weapons. In japan they educate japanese children about atomic weapons in a one sided anti way. They even use the word evil. Attitudes are changing because the japanese slowly realize now that america cannot be rellied on as much. This is why koizumi has been twisting the japanese constitution. If he gets the military back i would say in about two more elections that prime minister will be the one to push for the americans to leave. You see at one time almost all japanese wanted the americans there. The ones that had to live around the american bases did not like their prescence because the americans commit all types of crime and do what they wish. But now with north korea and the americans not taking proper actions the japanese opinion slowly changes. The majority of japanese still want them there. I am sure if they had the option of those becoming japanese bases they would change their opinion. I do not think the americans would leave as easy as you think. All of their main things are in japan. Not korea. A few months ago I heard that they were considering moving everything to australia but I have not heard anything else about it unfortunatly.

"Indeed, US should leave Ribun alone. "

...and the choxian not to mention everyone else.

I sypmathize with you. Those marines are not doing anything and yet still are getting paid. They get what they deserve. But sometimes, when you think about it, it's not their fault, it's the presidents' fault. Right now, the economy in America is so bad. People are left without jobs and it's that dumb republican's fault(George Bush). The rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer. Sometimes, they think they are better than you, which they think gives them the right to walk all over you. He does need to stay out of other people's businesses. It's good for nothing. And it's not America, it's the military branch of the american government that isn't doing anything. That dumb president. icon_neutral.gif

"that soldier COULD have been minding his business, and that japanese guy could have been just psycho... so no sympathy for him JUST because he is american?"

That is correct. I give him no sympathy because of the sole fact that he was a american soldier. Infact I realize that he probably was minding his buisness and the japanese man should not be shooting who ever he wants (where did he get a gun in hiroshima anyway?). Even though the american did nothing wrong I will lose no sleep over his injury. I mean those japanese children on the boat were minding their buisness before they were attacked by the american military. Yet the americans do not give a damn hell it was not even on the news. Even if america formally appologized most really do not give a damn. It shows by the fact the commander was not punished. Let that have been a japanese submarine attacking american children. The americans would go insane with anger even if japan appologized for the act of incompetance.

"every american is not evil or wanting to "destroy the asians" as some of you seem to have a mentality of."

I am aware of this and I do not judge americans on a individual level.

The reason I do not feel sorry for him is not because he does not look like me. I will break this down even further for you.

Japanese/asian dies=no one gives a damn.

American dies= everyone is up in arms.

Fortunatly the choice is not up to the chinese. If japan convinces the americans to allow rearming it will not matter what the chinese think. They will get over it.

it was on the news. I clearly remember it showing that incident on BBC/CNN and local Fox news. But the news said it was an accident. They've said the american sumbmarine just poped out to the surface, hitting the boat full with japanese citizens. They said nothing about american sumbarine "attacking" the boat, but it might be just media's excuse.

If it was really on the news I am mistaken and appologize. But I saw nothing on CNN about that one. Other wise I would not have said I didnt. I am not one to try to purposly give missinformation. That was a aggresive move maid by the submarine. Of course they did not use the word "attack". It was a accident in the sense that they did not know it was a japanese boat. You cannot create a accident like that. There is all forms of special equipment on sudmarines that tell you what is on the top of the water. The information that you have received made it seem like the submarine went to return to the top of the water and the japanese boat only appeared.
直隸總督

It goes from bad to worst. First the US was reponsible for accidents. Now the US purposely caused the accident and kill little school children to stir international hatred of it. Then the US purposely bombed the Chinese embassy because it's got nothing better to do than kill too Chinese nationals and make itself look bad in the eye of the world. Wow, it's either you guys really belive these things or you you're really paranoid and think that China and Japan are so important that the US have to conspire to commit these petty acts against your respective countries. You know what, F*CK YOU!!!!

As a human being, I am appalled by your comments. I have seen your comments and others bashing the US and ALL Americans, and have tried to understand. This is where my understanding ends.

How can you not be appalled by the death of that soldier (American or not) Your statement basically says that you value an American life less than some others. That would make you a racist.

Now before you talk about how America does the same, perhaps it does, but I don't see Japan giving billions of dollars in aid to countries.

Look, the US is the first superpower in the world's history that doesn't basically rape and pillage the countries that it conquers.

The US beat the $hit out of Japan. Did we make it a colony? Did we make you slaves? NO!

Did we invest in infrastructure? Did we invest in rebuilding what we had to destroy (because - by the the way, YOU STARTED THE F*CKING WAR - and by you, I mean your country) YES! And now that Japan is a world power,

Let's break it down. If an uncle gave you $10000 and said "here you go, make something of yourself" and you make it big. Then everytime the uncle comes around you call him an @$$hole and constantly criticize him, wouldn't that make you an @$$?

We Americans care. Unfortunately, we are not at the throats of every other country. We don't have an easy target in a country that it is in fashion to criticize.

If you read the account and the story of what happened with the submarine, the commander is forever haunted by the deaths and he will die with that guilt. He is appalled at what happened.

Let's talk a little history since you seen to want to talk about how bad America has been:

Here's a topic: by the same logic as you have described.

Why Japan is evil.

1. War crimes. Conducting scientific experiments on prisoners of war (not one or two - into the thousands of chinese, koreans, and philipinos)

2. Murdering of Prisoners of War. Killing indiscrimately chinese and american soldiers during world war II.

3. Kidnapping and raping of thousands (tens of thousands of asian women - mostly korean into various parts of east and southeast asia to use as sex slaves for almost ten years)

4. Free Trade. Japan doesn't know what this means. Everyone complains about the US trade policy. Hell, does anyone know how hard and expensive it is to get anything into Japan? $hit, America is a Cakewalk in comparison.

5. 9-11? It had a precursor called Pearl Harbor where over 2000 soldiers and sailors were killed by a surprise attack by the empire of Japan. War you may say but the US and Japan were not officially at war.

My point is that this is all history and done in the past.

You are generalizing and saying that Americans somehow deserve to be shot or if they are, it makes no difference to you.

This the kind of attitude that makes the world what it is. This is my opinion of course.

Here's a conversation by a typically American President

"Hey Secretary of Defense! How the hell do you think we can piss off more people in the world?"

"Well sir, how about we crash a billion dollar submarine into a japanese boat loaded full of kids and sink her."

"Yeah, that'll piss'em off"

"What else can we do?"

"Well we can ensure that our young soldiers pretty much act like young kids around the world and make stupid mistakes."

Unfortunately, we need trained men and women for the eventuality of warfare.

WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT THE US IS A BUNCH OF WAR MONGERS.

CRACK OPEN A HISTORY BOOK AND LOOK AT WHAT MOST COUNTRIES DID. IF A COUNTRY HAD THE POWER TO CONQUER, THEY CONQUERED AND TOOK WHATEVER THEY COULD.

THE US HAS THE CAPABILITY TO DESTROY MANY COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD. DO THEY? NO. WITH THE COLLAPSE OF THE USSR. WHO WOULD STAND IN THEIR WAY?

AMERICA ACTS AS ANY COUNTRY WOULD - OUT OF IT'S OWN INTERESTS. IS THAT WRONG? EVERY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD DOES THE SAME.

WHY IS IT WHEN AMERICA DOES THE SAME THING THAT EVERYONE ELSE DOES, IT'S CONSIDERED EVIL.

AT THE SAME TIME, WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE WANT TO COME TO A COUNTRY THEY BELIEVE IS EVIL?

Because they are. Look at vietnam and iraq.

As for america acting out of its own interests. Since it wants to police the world (no asked for that either) it should not act for its own interests as much as it does. Other countries should be put before it right? America is supposed to be a example of what every country should be. So why not act accordingly?

I have no reason to read your post. I saw the words "fu-k you" and "evil japan". There is no further reason for you to try to respond me. If you are trying to make someone listen to what ever garbage you attempted to say you do not open with a insult. By the way "This the kind of attitude that makes the world what it is."

P.S. If you do not like what I have to say do not read my comments.

That's fine.

Sorry I offended, but your inhuman remarks were significantly harsher than a few explitives that I couldn't get control of.

I have read some of your other comments and you have raised good points but I cannot stand behind completely ill-informed and inhumane remarks such as those.

And by the way "Evil Japan" referred to me trying to make a point that just because some people (some governments) do/or have done certain things, that does not make an entire country, race, group EVIL.

then US should stop making propaganda of the "evil China" while US itself is going around and harrassing the entire globe.

When did I use the word evil do ever describe america? Not once. I swear people on this forum love to make accusations...
Anyway perhaps my view is harsh but I stand by it and that will not change until america becomes less recklass in the countries it claims to "help". I would not consider my words inhuman. What I have said is nothing in comparison to what I have heard modern day americans say. Why dont you jump on their "inhuman" comments?

P.S. I never said the american deserved to be shot. I just dont give a damn.

Pft. I do not even think they are defending democracy anymore or "freedom". They are using this as a excuse to do what the hell want to do in the world. I will give you a example. The americans claim to be liberating the iraq people from suffering. Also they wanted to get rid of a threat. I believe america had different motives. I doubt they cared about the human suffering there anyway....that is for another post. If they were so concerned about such things. Why would they not battle north korea? I mean kim is running god damn death camps and torturing who wants and actually is a threat to everyone in the region....yet iraq was the primary target because saddam was hurting freedom. That is true...but I believe they only used that as a excuse to occupy the nation.

As for the korean armor captain. I have not read enough posts to make major judgements. So I will refrain from farther comment.

"WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT THE US IS A BUNCH OF WAR MONGERS."

I just thought that statement of his was the funniest thing I heard today.

U.S government is lacking creativity. I think it's time for them to think of other stories other than "safe for democracy"

I read your post Amorcaptain and I can understand the anger. You brought up some good points about Japan that I didn't want to bring up because all it would do was stirr these American haters, not change their mind. Racism exist everywhere and we must constantly work to combat it. Like I said, I don't think his view is reflective of the Japanese majority, which is something we all can be glad for.

It's funny that some of the Chinese nationals on this site said that the US is always out to backlist China when all they're doing was backlisting the US on claims which have no factual basis. Read the stuff prior and you'll see what I mean. In America there is large group that believe China is the US's friends (President Bill Clinton). I wish they could listen to these people. I do think these pro-Red China loyalist brought up a good suggestion. Perhaps the US should begin a campaign to backlist China and isolate it from the rest of the world; we won't have to make up lies, all we have to do is tell the truth. lol icon_smile.gif . China has never been a good friend and listening to people on this forum, it's convincing me that they will always seek to dominate not cooperate. US should reinvigorate its support of Taiwan, possibly considering giving the island nukes to silence Red China's threat. While we at it, why not South Korea and Japan. Surround China with neighbors that have the capacity to defend itself against the Chinese bullying tactics. It's also funny how these nationals don't realize how much dependent their econony is based on US investment. America can do without the trinkets that China makes. We can do without Chinese violation of copyright laws that cause US billions of dollar in trade deficit. Diverge our investment to Mexico and other friendly nations and we'll see how the great Chinese economy will do without the US's friendship.

No one wants nuclear proliferation, but hey, if China wants to deal with a US out to get it...there are possibilities.

I'm straying from the point here... so back to the Japanese thing. You can argue with open-minded people, but when they're filled with so much hate that they're blind to reasons, then you can only pray to God that kind of attitude doesn't spread.

Hi I just joined this board I was reading everyones posts I have a question I'm not taking sides just yet I want to know what would Japan< China and other Asian countries do if they had American power. What If America pulled every soldier out
and let "an example Japan" take charge would you leave everything alone or would you help.
直隸總督
Of course China wouldn't leave an "example Japan" there.
shinta1868
I'm not trying to start a fight I want to hear peoples opinions I've been on Jpanese boards they dont seem to like anyone no matter what country or race unless they are japanese. Japanese seem to think Americans are out to get people we're trying to keep order even if that means using force I dont like it but if someone dosnt do it, there are a lot of countries that cant protect themselves. The UN's job is to keep peace and keep ties with other countries they protect and help even if people dont like it. We stop countires and organizations from opressing people by force we try talking it out with them but usually it go's nowhere. We dont hate other countries with the exeption of France right now, terrorists dont care what country, race, sex,or who you worship if you are not with their group or organization they will attack you ,your family ,and your friends with no remorse.Even If it's not America I hope other countries will stand up and fight, sooner or later they might try to take China.

I judge people individually, If I dont like someone it's because of something you did or your personality I dont hate someone for being from another country I;m just mad the French didnt fight I dont dislike them Ive never met one.

Shinta you are japanese...? Your english in your previous posts was confusing me. Anyway yes I also usually will not judge on a individual level.
shinta1868
No I'm not Japanese I'm half Swedish/african american born in Germany I currently live in the US. Sorry for confusing people I write whatever come in my head and I have so many thoughts I have to write them down or I'll forget. I try to be more clear. The reasonI was asking about what would you do, is beacuse I see alot of topics about racism and I like to read them for fun I haven't been to Japan but I plan to take my family there to see the cherry blossom festival in a few years so I'm studying the language so I dont make people angry. I was adopted as a baby by a white couple being mixed Ilook more black kinda like a dark mohca I deal with racism and I and I like to hear other peoples views. I feel that the soldier being shot was bad, but I dont blame everybody japanese. In my oppinion I think most japanese can tolerate others, but they really dont like people from other countries I mean they make friends but it's not the same as a japanese friend.

That story of the submarine surfacing up on the Japanese boat was in the news. I even remembered watching it on CNN. It was like on the news for a week or something close to that. I think. But I remembered watching it a few years back.
