Hi,

I'm going to stay in LA for a few days soon (so excited! embarassedlaugh.gif2 ), so I'd love any suggestions on good places to visit, eat, shop, etc.

Thanks! biggthumpup.gif

eateries:

http://www.portosbakery.com <~~ try the tuna croissant and potato balls
http://www.zankouchicken.com <~~ you've gotta try the garlic spread!
http://www.in-n-out.com
http://www.originaltommys.com <~~ if you like chili burgers
http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com
http://www.japaneserestaurantinfo.com/kippan <~~ really good sushi

Supposedly this place also has good sushi:

9105 W Olympic Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90212

...but I never had a chance to see for myself because every time I went there it was too crowded to get a seat

Shopping:

http://www.glendalegalleria.com

Melrose Avenue (near k-town)... if you want to know how to get there then just type in 7650 MELROSE AVENUE, LOS ANGELES, CA 90046 (this is the address to an Urban Outfitters there) in http://maps.yahoo.com

Pasadena - lots of places to shop there.

I recommend you stay away from Hollywood unless you like museums. There's a sex museum over there. naughty.gif There also used to be a "museum of death" but it got closed. icon_sad.gif Anyway, other than the museums you'd probably find Hollywood a bit of a disappointment - it's really dirty and there are lots of trashy folk hanging around. =P

Anyway hope you have fun!

What's your budget on foods? How much do you plan to spend?

What part of L.A. will you be visiting?
Tigerlily
It's a bit late now, I've just come back from there icon_wink.gif .

I stayed with a friend in Diamond Bar and we went to lots of chinese restaurants which were good.
It was fun and now I've got to catch up on all my work. bawling.gif
