Vietnam suffered from continous wars in its history, from the many Chinese invasion attempts to French colonization and then the Vietnam War. Nonetheless, Vietnamese have always been strong-willed people, albeit the continuous foreign interruptions especially the bombing of US aircrafts during the war. Vietnam is a poor country, but it's in the healing process, and hopefully it will be a prosperous and peaceful country in the future!

After all, Vietnam is a beautiful country icon_smile.gif

Not to mention having a friend other than the Soviet Union in the world.

The new UK government of Margaret Thatcher persuades the European Community to halt its regular shipments of milk to Vietnam in order to support the USA blockade of that country. This causes the price of milk powder to increase by ten times. The World Health Organisation blames this policy for stunting the growth of 30% of children under 5 and for a large number of children going blind due to Vitamin A deficiency.

The west tried everything they could to keep us down, but the Vietnamese will always have God and themselves to survive.

Of course Vietnam still needs more work. A few pictures don't necessary represent all of Vietnam. I hope our people will not stop and will try harder to develop the country.

Very nice pics, while Vietnam is advancing the country is recieving too much Western influence, I fear that Vietnamese culture will deteriorate as a result of Western materialism and the lack of moral values in society.

Thank you for the pics. Wow , the streets are so clean and those houses are nice too. This makes me wanna take a trip back to VN again. love2.gif

Vietnam is reborn. If they do it right, they can bring tons of tourisms to what was the heart of indochina. Vietnam does not many spots of natural beauty searched by many westerners.

The krysstal.com site is by some Middle Easterners w/ the bone to pick w/ the Western nations. I actually read the part the guy wrote about VN through the years.........make me want to fart, really!!!

The pictures are pretty.....but the reality is not.
