wut asian language sounds weird or annoying to u guys? viet ppl only plz... even tho' i know non-viet will come in but its all good.

i think it is understandble that an ethnic group thinks the other has a "very" annoying & sounds weird.

I don't think any language sounds annoying, just a bit funny because you don't undertsnad it sometimes. That's because I'm like "Damn, how you understand or make an understanding of that?" And I also think that when you don't understand something, you think they are talking fast as hell.

All languages sound funny to me. But then again it's just I dont understand it. But if I have to choose then people yelling in Cantonese. That is annoying.

Yes, I was raised in the States. I do understand you don't want to judge Viet because it's your language. And the reason because it may be bias and what not. But is it so wrong to critique on my own language? If I said it was nice sounding, I probably wouldn't be getting beef from people as I am right now.

Personally, I don't think any languages sound weird. You get used to the tones. I don't find any problems.

not because it my language and i dont wanna judge it but because i speak it my whole life , i think its very good and sound good too hahaha, how the hell can i judge it ....its not wrong to judge ur own language but people who were born and lived in Vietnam , speak Vietnamese when they were born until now , ist very hard to judge !! ask any Americans if they judge their language and say English sounds like sh!t , German sounds better ???

i like cantonese better than mandarin and i like the bac dialect better than the nam one. from what i hear my parents speak ^__^

Sure, if they say so. But how would that be any different from an American person saying English sound better and German is like $hit? Doesn't matter if you're comparing to a language you've spoken your whole life to some other language. There's no logic in the opinion. You just pick whichever pleases your ears more.

yeah i saw ong bak da other day. dat girl was pretty annoying but i dont think its da language cuz she was da only one dat was annoying. she looked more jappanese n sounds japanese to me. thai sounds better than khmer tho' for sum reason. khmer is nuthin but prrrim prrom prrem chimm kong bong srok prrrok. gets irritating no offense tho' i just herd my friends parents talkin to me n im like wtf i aint khmer.

When u are so used to English and u starting to learn Vietnamese , well it might not please ur ears but to Viet speakers, we speak Viet when we were little and of course it sounds please to our ears because thats the only language we speak and when we hear cantonese , it sounds like sh!t to me but to cantonese speakers , it sounds normal. I wouldn't say either Thai or Khmer sound better. You will probably find Khmer a little bit more annoying though because a lot of Khmer speakers have such high voices, it gets really annoying. But if you don't count the people with the high annoying voices Khmer doesn't sound that bad.
